Gday guys

So I've been put in charge of organising a 1500, in club, tournament to be held over two consecutive nights.

My main issue is that we have about 10 guys entering and as our total allotted time for the tournament is around 10 hours in total over both nights, I was wondering what is a suitable time for the tournament rounds? I'm not familiar with tournaments so perhaps some of the vets can help out a little here

Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Two consecutive nights? That's unusual. Are they weeknights or on the weekend? Will the guys be coming from work/school, or is this in the evening at a gaming convention where everyone should be on-site already, or what? What time will you be starting each evening? Usually with a one-day or two-day even you need to build in a lunch break (or two). I'm not sure based on the first post whether you'll need to allow a dinner break. Do you need to set up and clean up all your stuff (table tops, terrain) inside those ten hours as well?

With ten hours I would usually figure four rounds. Give the guys two hours or two hours fifteen minutes for the rounds. Allow yourself at least fifteen minutes between rounds for tabulating results and making the pairings, and allot maybe a half hour for final tabulations and award presentation. If you need a meal break it should be between thirty minutes and an hour depending on how much time you have and how close you are to local food.
