You need more heros. You need a hero to lead 12 warriors. So either get some more heros or take some warriors out

Have you got the Fallen Realms sourcebook?

"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends." Mithrandir

"You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, and we are all a part of the same compost pile." Tyler Durdun

No, however I have the older "Harad" Sourcebook.

And lack a rulebook, which would explain much, so -each- dozen of warriors need a leader?

Basically, yes.

I'd advice you to get the sourcebook as it explains how warbands work clearly but if you can't get it atm I can explain it to you in detail.

If you'd be willing to explain how it works to me, yes I'd appreciate it and give you my undivided forum attention. I could get the book rather soon. As it's not a -huge- investment and if the changes have been that drastic I'd like to get it first before I get more models.

It looks solid, but as others have said you need more heros, any particular way you plan to play this army?

Yes, this army's logic is fairly straight forward.

The mob of spearmen led by the chieftain rush the left side of the other player's side of the field, the mumak goes straight -through- whilst Archer's pepper any lightly armored foes. The raiders and Mahud badass take the right.

Point and click baiscally, what can I say? I'm kind of a brute.

Right,

There are warbands which represent heroes and his followers (the warriors) Every model in your army has to be part of a warband.

First you have to choose a leader for your Warband/s and select his equipment (same as before). Sometimes a warband can be lead by 2 heros i.e. Elladan and Elrohir.

Once you have selected your warband leader you may now select up to 12 warriors as followers (which have to come from the same list so you can't have Elrond leading a bunch of warriors of Minas Tirith.) You have to have a hero to lead your warband. Each model only counts as one model so a cave troll and a goblin take up the same amount of space.

There is the normal bow limit of 33% unless a particular faction has a special rule which allows for more.

Some heroes are independent heroes who are not allowed to lead warriors i.e. cave drakes or shelob.

Siege Engines count for 12 warriors in a warband and do not need a hero to lead the warband. They're the only thing that doesn't afaik but you can have siege engine captains.

You have to select one of your heroes to be your leader.

You can take allies but their warbands have to be lead by their heroes and when you take allies the bow limit is not spread across the whole army but it is done per contingent (i.e. per ally)
so you may have a orc army numbering 44 models and a goblin contingent as allies numbering 24 models. 15 of your orcs can have bows and 8 of your goblins can have bows.

Oh and heros with bows don't count towards your bow limit.

That is basically everything summerised but the book will make it much clearer than I probably have.

The long and short of this is, you need some more heroes to field all your warriors.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also, all your Harad warriors have increased to 6 point base and 7 points with a spear or bow.

In fact, I think a lot of your army points costs are different now. Just another reason to get the sourcebook asap.

Question:

Do Calvary follow this rule of a dozen?

Yep.

Everything does, so one could have a warband of a mordor troll chieftain with 12 mordor trolls backing him up.

Oh and although you organise your models like this in your list and your models are deployed in warbands (with models generally starting within 6 inches of their hero) the models still act as individuals. That key part of the game hasn't changed, thank God.

Yep apart from the mamuk is a hero and the points are slightly off

"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends." Mithrandir

The new source books are amazing. You cant have a legal list with old rules unless you are playing people with old rules. So I would upgrade asap as the new books are great.

Now I don't own the book but I'm fairly sure that the Haradrim are allowed a 50% bow limit, I got told this by someone at some point but don't remember but I could quite easily be wrong

Yes, you are correct
