Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I ' ve heard that many of you.. all of you! are a fan of the 'American's no1. Post Apocalypse simulation' series. so shall we discuss on its storyline?
1. It seems that both of the developers, Black Isle and later... Bethesda, favors the NCR being a successor to the USA over the smaller 'civilized' city states. any Behind the scene?
2. it is said that Fallout 4 (the New Vegas is not named as such) will be available this year. rumoured that a player will either return to San Francisco (the chinatown neighbourhood featured in FO2), or do the first ever 'world tour' ,or roam over the unexplored (unexloited) mojave wastes .... anywehre unseen in New Vegas and its DLC. and yes. the Legion (westcoast Roman wannabees) will play a major role. and will possibly replace the (possibly defunct) Enclave (the six last Enclave members are too old, and almost every Enclave resources were spent in vain to rebuild 'perfect pure USA' . all of every attempts were stopped by the player (FO2 and 3) , the Brotherhood of Steel, and another successor of the USA. the NCR. Legion did aware of their lores of absolute power in the past, and its tech of the present so the Legion choes not to overcross them.
Which of New Vegas endings will Bethesda takes?
a. Mr. House
b. New California Republic
c. Caesar's Legion
d. Wild Card (a robot named YES man, and possibly.. the Courier, become the new leader of the independent nation of New Vegas, but under which government style the narrator doesn't say)
3. If someone is to write a fanon regarding to the southern states of the USA. in the time New Vegas storyline ends. what should its current status be?
a. a tribal land just like Capitol Wasteland, no regional powers, Brotherhood may be expanded there or maybe not.
b. a land that have ONE regional powers surrounded with so many barbarian tribes.
c. a land that have TWO or THREE regional powers fighting against each others
choices b. and c. requires the name of the regional power(s) each of the faction's territory (and its capitol), themes, beliefs, values, and its fighting style.

Just a quick warning though - They are very hostile against Bethesda and Fallout 3. Not so much against NV though, since it was made by ex-black isle members.

If FO4 is set in San Fransisco im not sure how well it would work. San Fransisco is meant to be firmly under NCR control, meaning there would be little gap for inter-faction rivalries. That being said there could be some interesting efforts made into fissures within the NCR itself, meaning there are certain "sub factions". I think factions will defiantly return, the reputation system works a hell of allot better than karma IMO (that means two or three major factions). As for endings I can only see Wild card or NCR taken as cannon (legion just would be an odd choice and Mr House I dont think would fit very well).

if San Francisco is to be featured in FO4 it had to be either political party OR gangs. I doubt that the Legion can infiltrate the NCR that deep! by the time New Vegas storyline ends. the Legion should have its empire expanded towards texas or Louisiana.. if Bethesda choose Wild Card endings, then it still doesn't guarantee that the Legion will not invade NCR. it only slow its progress.
Personally i DON'T think that the city state of 'New Vegas' controls a big territory, by the time the NV begins (or the Courier was 'murdered' by Benny), New Reno (which in FO2, was a gangster town WITHOUT its administration systems.) joined NCR. remember that the old wold incarnate of the New Reno was once a part of Nevada.
eventually the two rivaling westcoast superpower will soon have each of their territory collided elsewhere. either the NCR crosses another passes of Sierra Nevada and poises towards Texas, OR the Legion empire reached Texas. the two rivals will soon meet in the battlefield once again.

The Enclave seemed to 'disappear' or 'dissoved' , but another rumour said that in FO4, the player might go to the moon, i don't know who will the player have to fight there? Aliens (remnants of Zeta), or the same ol' Enclave? in NV, the last six Enclave members seem to realized that they are masterless and will fight alongside the outsiders. those who the six of them tried so hard to get rid of.

by the FO4, much of the technology has been restored. so i think the player should be allowed to ride vehicles or to tame a wasteland beast for a ride.

About musics, in Fallout universe. is the Rock n' roll the 'most advanced' musics introduced? does the Disco being introduced too?
the earliest Disco musics are more or less a 'bigband derivatives' and not heavily "electronicalized",

^ This one fits Fallout tech level so well.

i don't have anything against the 50s musics, just curious how does music world develop under the 'divergence' conditions?

If Bethesda puts Disco music into Fallout I'd snap the game disc in half and forget that it ever existed.

+1 to that, its the 1950's jazz which makes the whole thing worth playing. It really takes the edge off the lonely, post apocalyptic wasteland.

so you guys say that in FO universe. the music industry doesn't evolve beyond Bigband and Jazz thing?
the fallout wiki doesn't say that. while the FO3 itself plays the musics of the 50s and never plays anything beyond that. will this judge that the music industry had been freezed RIGHT THERE?

I think most Wastelanders have more important things to worry about then music. Like not being brutally murdered by gangs of Raiders or Super Mutants.

Getting rid of the 50s music in fallout is like taking the jaws theme out of jaws, you loose the whole "feel" of the game.

I know right? Hell, I thought dakkites were bad (well, some of them. You know, the odd poster who makes a thread about armies being OP/UP) but christ, there's some serious butthurt going on there.

Anyway, on to the discussion.

About music...You know, it would be interesting to see Punk rock being used in fallout. That seems to be the logical progression.
How did it go? Swing --> Rock --> Punk ---> Metal?

Gonna have to agree with this, Music would have died with the war, however I could support a revival of musical arts in the NCR, since they've recovered.....but not punk
though I do hope that FO4 goes back to the capital wasteland, or at least the area around it

I would just like to add that the new Fallout 4 could maybe have the faction from Fallout 2, The Shi and they might have the Chosen one's village of Arroyo. And it would be mean to see vault 13 again

I'm not sure they would go near the core region again. They could, but I think they are interested in trying something new.

I am just going to say this - I will probably buy whatever Fallout 4 is when I can get it on sale on Steam. For me though, when I found out about Wasteland 2, Fallout hit one hell of a huge pothole. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were better than nothing to me; but with Wasteland 2 in the works I am actually excited in a way I haven't been since I found out about the games going FPS.

As of 2281. the NCR had annexed Arroyo ( http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Arroyo ) the Vault Dweller's monarchy had already been somehow abolished. the new NCR law doesn't seem to like the regional nobility ruling some regions.
Vault 13 had already been abandoned by the destruction of the Oil Rig. and given that the Arroyo itself is so far far away from the vault. the Vault13 survivors rescued from the Oil Rig simply chose not to return to their underground home but to follow the founder of Arroyo. by the end of FO2. the newly repopulated Arroyo looks extremely different.

by the New Vegas storyline. it should have a look of pre-war Latin american cities. but the Fallout Wikia said that NCR expanded that far!
