Here in Lawrence We have a tournament once every three months. Right now i have found a place to be able to hold a monthly 20-30 person tournament. Its in the planning stages and i was hoping to see how many people from this area are on dakka. This forum was the best place to post this, if it is the wrong place please tell.

Right now Lawrence is a rather big college town with a 45 min drive to 2 larger cities. and yet we don't get very many people coming to tournaments. Either because the FLGS is to small or the prizes aren't large enough. So please post here if you are this area, Topeka KS, Kansas city KS/MO. I am hoping enough people to step forward wanting a large tournament, entry fees will go to prize support. the larger the group we get the high the prize will be. Please post if you are interested in this. Any questions or comments will be welcome.

While I am open to the idea of bigger events in the area, there are already several in the Kansas City area that might fit your bill. Shoot me a pm, and can point you in the direction of it all.

Or post them here so people north of you can view...... Our group might drive on down if the tournament is a good fit...

I know KC has a bunch of nice tournaments. The problem is that they are in KC, and i am trying to get things going in Lawrence. And with out the rules and guide lines of a store. I know there are alot of tournaments in KC where three colors and a base are needed. and so on. So i wanted to branch out and get more people coming to tournaments. and Lawrence is half way between KC and topeka. Seems like a good place to hold a bigger tournament.
