Hi there,

Looking to play necromunda, preferably a campaign. If anyone is part of a club or group doing this or wants to start one, please drop me a line.

I live in Brixton south London but am willing to travel.

Many thanks

Well I do have the rules for Necromunda but never played it before, but I have played Gorkamorka which has been told are pretty similar (par vehicles and ork theme)

I do have a redemptionist gang + other 40k models to be used, and if you don't mind the inexperienced player, I love to be part of it

Hey blackgaze. Welcome on board. a couple more people and we may have something. I have two sets of scenery and about 5 gangs. Redemptionists are a lot of fun to play as/ against so all sounds good. No problems on picking up the game as we go along, its often makes for fun times.

and then there were two....

London, UK

Go to claphamwargamers.org.uk and post on the forum.
Lots of necromunda players there, and loads of scenery.

We meet on Thursday nights in the Bread and Roses pub and run an annual necromunda campaign.

Its barely 5 minutes from Brixton.

Always looking to meet SE London gamers for Saga, Frostgrave.

a while back? It's been a year!
The timings not that good right now, but if things improves I think about it. Things change over a year

Hi man, I was specifically looking online for active Necromunda Communities, as it was my preferred game back when I played GW games.

I'm sure that you've either moved on, finished your campaign, or had as much luck as me finding players. However, given that me and a mate of mine were putting a couple of gangs together and are based in Waterloo and Elephant & Castle, I thought I should drop you a message.

My buddy told me about a place near his (Waterloo) that rents tables to gamers for like £2. I haven't checked it out yet, but if you and anyone you know would still like to start a campaign let me know and we can arrange to hook up.

Just so you haven't got unrealistic expectations, I'm just getting into the game again after a long hiatus. I'll likely be playing as Orlocks (or basing my gang around their rules), I have no idea what gang my mate will end up with .... last time I spoke to him, he was muttering something unlikely about Orks.

Hi thanks for getting in touch! That sounds great. I'm still very keen indeed. What I suggest is that we maybe hire a table and have a game and see how it goes. I'm just finishing an apprenticeship at the moment so my time is not as open as it could be but I'm sure I can move things around.

That's good news mate. Glad you're still up for it. I'm in no massive rush as I've just downloaded the old rulebook (+Outlanders ) from Yaktribe to get myself back up to speed.

I'll also be tacking together a gang from pretty much scratch, but I can do that in no time at all, especially if you're not too fussy. So in the meantime I'll check out this rent-a-table place and see if it's kosher. I'll be free most afternoons / evenings / weekends from next tuesday so if you let me know when you fancy trying a game, I'll probably be available.

EDIT: 29 years old and acceptably weird for a hobby-gamer. Just don't expect me to be quick, i haven't played in years. This is a result of me and an old school buddy getting really nostalgic. I pretty much only joined here (and many other places) to find Necromunda Players, but could be convinced to march out my Dwarf army ... or even finish painting my wood-elves.

Hey Nathanie1,

have done quite a bit to get some people interested in starting a campaign. Got in touch with a gamer group in Clapham which has a lot of members that want to play but only 6 or 7 who are not participating in an infinity campaign at the same time. There may be more players in future.

http://www.claphamwargamers.org.uk/

Joined Yaktribe and have joined a campaign that another player was running. I don't stand a chance of winning but it's been good to familiarise myself with the rules and gameplay again.

http://gaming.yaktribe.org/

Am running intro-games of Necromunda on Monday with a (different) Clapham-based gaming club that's interested in running a Necromunda Campaign alongside it's main 40k Campaign. It's narrative driven, so that seems quite good.

http://www.meetup.com/The-London-Warhammer-Gaming-Guild/

I've been knocking together some cardboard terrain to take down there, as they've only got the flimsy original stuff. Will be spraying that today and tomorrow for use in the intro games on Monday.

.. and it turns out that the place where I can rent a table is at Dark Sphere in waterloo. They've got a small warehousing unit that they've got filled with tables. I understand that you have to go into the main shop to get in there though.

So many options. Anyway, still interested? How's that apprenticeship going by the way?

That sounds great dude. Im up for all of it. Bith waterloo and clapham are fairly easy for me to get to.

What days are good over the next couple of weeks to meet? I can probably head along either this or next monday or any other day apart from tuesday and friday nights.

Apprenticeship is going really well, into the final straight now after 7 years so I doubt I will know what to do with myself when it is done.

I have two sets of munda scenery if that helps at all?

Just found out the other day that on June 3rd Dark Sphere start a Necromunda campaign too, so it's not just free play (This would be tuesdays, but it's well over a month down the line). Might stay clear of there 'til that starts.

Yeah, Mondays are actually pretty good as one of those Clapham based gamer clubs does it's game nights Monday and Thursday from 7. I've done two intro-game nights this week. Just did the second tonight. They've got a really good crowd and we're looking to start a campaign there two weeks from now. One or two oddballs, but no-one that suffers attacks of Nerd-Rage.

It's just a matter of getting everyone used to the rule-set and the rusty players back in the swing. I highly recommend that (if you haven't already) you DL the NCE ruleset from Yaktribe.

Glad to hear that it's going well mate, as I have never stuck anything out that long in my life. Good luck for your desired career (if you work out what you're going to do).

Scenery - Probably will help. The availability of this would take the pressure off me having to build more by next week. I don't really mind but it's one less thing to crowd the brain... and the schedule.

... I think that's everything ... Umm ... links to stuff that I do ... For your reassurance.

Excellent stuff. If you view my other threads on here you should find one labelled nathanie1 workstation and you can see my Munda kit bashing there. Would be great to meet before and maybe have a throw down game

Thanks mate. I had a look at some of your work while checking in from time to time. It's really good. You'll definitely add to the colour of the table.

I love good miniatures. Recently started conversions, myself. Not too good yet but I'll post some pics in the cave again soon. They're getting better.
