I loved Steam Logic's Pantin Nocturne so of course Puppet Wars, the spinoff from Malifaux, quickly caught my interest.
I am however yet to play it...

As a purveyor of games I do sell this game, but so far there has been very little interest.
So I am wondering, have any of yous played it and if so, what is your opinion of it...?

It's horrible.

Seriously. Unappealing graphic design and miniatures, excessively complex rules for a self-contained board game and unengaging gameplay. It's one of the worst board games I've ever played.

A friend enthusiastically tried to get our group into it and after him explaining the rules for about an hour and a half, we played for another hour and all of us were literally falling asleep at the table.

What he said.

I also found the miniatures to be haggard, on par with most of Reaper Miniature's line.

I haven't played puppet wars, but if its as bad as the other posters have said why not play real malifaux? Its a similar fluff and the game itself is really good and really fun. At a competitive level the game has some imbalances but as a friendly game, malifuax is my favorite of the skirmish games.

As a lover of Malifaux, I don't like Puppet Wars. The miniatures are rather likable if only because it looks like amusingly cutesy Malifaux minis made into puppets.

Also, I've heard of Collodi and Zoradia players using the Puppet Wars minis for miscellaneous proxies and such.

Other than that, the game isn't too interesting.

Aaaaaand here comes the unpopular I like it opinion.

I enjoy puppet wars greatly. There is just as much complexity in this game as any Malifux game. Powers, positioning, and missions if you want them. To me there's plenty here to love. Plus I really like the aesthetics.

For some reason I feel a swarm of negativity is about to be slammed down on this post. But the game is fun. At least to me and my circle.

You'll get no negativity from me; if I can find anyone who likes it then that can only be a good thing!
Plus, if you do enjoy it then no-one can argue that you really don't

But... so far it looks like more folk dislike than like. Arse...
Looks like i'll be flogging it off on the cheap.

I do also both play and sell Malifaux though; Hamelin's my crew of choice. But I do also have some excess Malifaux stock I may want to get shot of if so I might check if there's any interest.

Add me to thelist of people who like the game. It has a subtle level of stratagy that can be missed. I agree the rules are a little clunky, but can be overcome. I am on the team that is bringing Malifaux to Adepticon for the second time this year. Our Puppet Wars events are moving at a good clip. If you are in Chicago (Lombard specifically) pop in and have a go at it.
