So as a few may know I gave up 40k & fantasy some time ago. I either sold my armies or retired them awating new and intresting stuff to rekindel my Warhammer passion. But as we all know, once addicted to GW plastic/finecast crack your permantly hooked. So I got my source books for the fallen Realms and did some thinking, seing how I already have one evil army I thougth why not a second one, Now I would like to point out that I intend to aquier the other "evil" books too so, I can make a educated choice. Until that time comes that I own all those books I decided to run with Isengard.

So here is what i was thinking as a start, note that I havent really deiced on a given point level for this new army.
I want to make a less seen army with this one instead of the regular rank and file Uruk blocks normaly seen with this faction.

Evil leaders :

Mauhur

Thrydan Wolfsbane

Uruk Hai Captain
Heavy armour, orc bow

Dunlendig Chiefthan
Bow

Evil troops

12 Dunlendig Warriors
Bows

11 Dunlendig Warriors (Trolls goes here)

1 Isengard Troll

So in total this is some twenty points above 800, I did not include any Wargs because I dont have much love for the current Warg moddels, althou they are definitly good moddels.

As far as i'm aware the Troll is a warrior and would have to go in one of the warbands. As i count he doesn't have a hero for him so you'd have to drop a dude from another warband and stick the troll in.

List looks good. Oi, Trondheim. I'd take some of that Warhammer stuff off your hands!

Are you sure? I always imagied trolls where independet warriors. But well one Dunlendig less wont hurt I recon in the end

I've got some isenguard but I don't use any fighting uruks, how good are they?

Uruk Hai is a very solid unit in my opinion. They have good stats and can take blows as well as give them

And uruk captains are str5!

Berzerkers should be too really..

And Defence 7! if you upgrade them with heavy armour and shield

i'd think of doing isenguard. Nice of GW to put some very different armies in 1 book for us collection Harad/Easterlings as a main army XD

I would likely go for Mainly fighting uruks and marauders and ferels with saruman. (Yes i know he is a lot of points but i love the model and character. Plus, Christopher Lee is awesome)

I love using saruman's immobilise spell on my friend's troll cheiften

Yes he won the entire thing, only drew one game and got just about maximum on scenario points (they had a different secondary objective all the time)

If I can find the write up I'll post the link again, it isn't the winner playing but the is the 2nd place fella and he has the winners lists at the bottom. It makes a very good read.

I heard of those Dain, Tom bombadil, Goldberry lists that were damn good until Bombadil got banned in pretty much all tourneys >.>

So it looks like I am froced to start from sracth with my Easterlings. So I have gone from around 200 moddels to around 30, this is a sad day for me. But hey now I can make a combined Isengard & Easterling army!

Why have you had to start from scratch? and why has your model count dropped so much?

But you'll be happy to know i lost to easterlings today in my first SBG match :(

Twas the manager of the GW playing though >.> He had just put together his easterlings so he wanted someone to play against so i used the stores Harad army they happened to have out back lol. But i didn;t use the mumaks as it was only a small game.

I had block of harad spearmen led by a taskmaster, a block of harad archers led by betrayer and a harad chieftain leading a warband of harad raiders. I did upgrade my archers to 3+ shoot though. oh and i had a hasharim.

He had 2 blocks of easterling warriors with the 4/4/4 split led by a war priest and amdur and some katapracts upgraded to black dragons led by a captain.

It was a close battle but my archers really didn't like the high defence even with shoot 3+ and the rerolls from betrayer.

Car burgelar happnend. And on closer inspection of said vehicel it was revaled that I only had lost around 60 to 80 moddels. The remaining ones where hidden amoungst broke, glass and other pleasent things. I am left with my rank and file and some Kataprakts, thankfuly I did not loose Amdur & CO

Why would someone break into a car just to steal minis? But i guess they didn't know what was in the cases or whatever. least it have you the harsh reminder to not leave stuff in the car.
