We have a reputation for running good events, so everyone come and enjoy yourself. Due to recent events the following is something that everyone should be aware of
All tournament lists MUST be typed and printed out OR it must be on a normal sheet of paper with all units and options taken CLEARLY LABELED. If you can't take the time to write out your list
then there are room for casual games on non-tournament tables. In addition, player conduct will be monitored and EVERYONE is expected to respect each other and play legit. I understand people can be heated during a competition, that is fine

All standard army books allowed (This will be updated based upon what books have come out). Newest
FAQs will be used. Chaos Dwarves from the Tamurkhan- The Throne of Chaos book are allowed. If you decide to bring this army you need to let me know prior. You must have a copy of the
FW book or a print out of the relevant rule sections for your army.
This is a closed list event in terms of optional equipment taken. You must (obviously) disclose what equipment piece/special ability you are using once it has been used. In addition, if a character you control ENTERS a challenge you must disclose all equipment the model is carrying. If you are using hidden units you must write down somewhere which unit he is in, so your opponent can verify.
3 Rounds, 2.5 hours per round with an additional 15 minutes given for deployment (Total of 2:45). Do not start another game turn if you cannot finish. There will be a break between either round 1 & 2 or 2 & 3.
Entry fee: 15$ for non-fully painted armies and 10$ for fully painted armies (Defined as entire model being painted to a 3 color minimum, primed models nor do bare metal/plastic models with 3 dabs of paint count. Bases do not count but they will most likely preclude you from winning any kind of painting prize if they aren’t finished). Please do not lie about your army’s paint status, it’s not worth saving 5$ as it defeats the purpose of encouraging people to paint.
Prizes are based upon full value of entrance fees. Prizes are awarded to top 3 players and best painted

Terrain Special Rules
No building on the board may be entered. The only exception is a building is created via an army special ability or magic item. Such buildings have a limit of 25 models
All Forests/Rivers are mystical
Additional rules for this event are as follows
Victory Point Changes
You score half victory points for units that are at or below half starting model count. As well as characters, monsters and other single model units that are reduced to half or below the wound value listed on their profile
Units that are fleeing at end of game are also worth victory points. A fleeing unit that is above 50% of its starting number is worth half victory points and a fleeting unit at or below 50% of its starting number is considered to be destroyed for victory point purposes
Magic Resistance (MR) gains the following additional special ability
May be used to increase a characteristic on a model that is being targetted by a spell that forces a characteristic test on a 1 for 1 basis, up to a maximum characteristic value of 4. For example, Pit of Shades is cast on a unit with an Initiative value of 2 and they have Magic Resistance (2). The unit increases its Initiative value by +2 because they have MR (2), this means the unit now has an Initiative value of 4. However, if the unit had MR (3) then they could still only increase their characteristic to a maximum of 4. If a unit naturally has a characteristic score of 5 or better then they may obviously still use that value.
A unit that uses Magic Resistance in this manner may not gain or modify an existing ward save against the spell in question (If it even allows one). If they already have a ward save (and the spell allows one) then they may of course use it.
Steadfast Changes
In order to be considered to be Steadfast a unit must have more ranks than all enemy unit ranks combined that are currently in base contact with it. This means that a unit with 8 ranks is NOT considered to be Steadfast if for example 2 enemy units with 4 and 5 ranks respectively are in base contact with it, as this totals 9 ranks. Also note that in a combined combat in which each player has multiple units you must determine Steadfast based on who each unit is in contact with.
Flanking/Rear Contact Changes
Units that are in contact with the flank and/or rear of an enemy double their ranks for the purposes of negating an enemy’s Steadfast. Additionally, any unit in the rear of an enemy and currently is causing Disruption (IE has 2 full ranks) also negates Steadfast entirely.
Skirmishers that are in the flank and/or rear of an enemy may be counted as having ranks as a normal unit. Note that this only applies in the flank or rear and such a skirmisher in the front of a unit will still be counted as having 0 ranks.
Ridden Monsters (Which is a monster that has or had a rider at the start of the game) with 4 or more wounds on their profile count as having 1 rank for close combat purposes or 2 ranks if the monster has 6 or more wounds on its profile. Additionally, they automatically cause disruption if in the rear arc of an enemy (and thus would also negate Steadfast).
Undead Unstable Changes
Units of Undead that suffer from being Unstable that are also joined by a Lord or Hero gain the following:
The unit replaces Unstable with Instability and may gain the benefits of Steadfast and Stubborn for purposes of Instability tests. For those who do not play demons, when a unit with Instability loses combat it makes a normal break check with usual combat modifiers and instead of fleeing it removes loses a number of wounds equal to the amount the check is failed by.
