Warband 1:

Legolas, cloak, horse, armour: 115

9x Mirkwood guards, bows, spears: 108


Warband 2:

Thranduil: 90

10x Galadhrim, elven blade: 90
1x Galadhrim, banner: 33


Warband 3:

Glorfindel, horse, armour of Gondolin: 150

11x High elf warrior, shield: 110



TOTAL: 696p.


Starting with shields covering archers with spears, blades behind. Gorfindel in a side waiting for the enemy charge, in cover, Legolas in horse shooting, Thranduil behind a shield too.

When enemy charges, always block with shields, trying to open space for one only, and that one getting charged by my blades. When possible, Glorfindel charging a side of the enemies.

I think this would do a very good list, it have the best of the elven realms. D6 shields, 2+ archers.

This is a very interesting list, now I don't know a lot about elves but why is legolas on a horse? sure he is more mobile but even if he is behind your own troops, people can now shoot him.

And also I am presuming Glorfindel with not go in unsupported? In which case he may as well be on foot.

Just a couple of thoughts

I like this list, but why Legolas on horse? That just makes him a more killebal target.

About Legolas on horse, don't forget he have also a cloak, making him virtually unshootable on a horse.

Going with him to capture points where the enemy have 1 soldier, makes that soldier dead.

As far as i was aware Elven cloak doesn't work for mounted models.

That doubt came to my mind when making the list, but I don't have the rulebook here.

I'd drop the horses. If you're not going to run any warriors on horses then no point really putting heroes on them. You're only painting targets on their chests. Especially not someone like Legolas who is mainly just going to be sitting back and shooting.

I would drop the horse from Legolas, but not from Glorfindel. Heroic combat, 3 attack + the attacks from the charge... I've seen it on some armys, and just obliterate units.

fair enough, so long as you work well with it and don't leave him stranded by running him off lol. I was just thinking dropping the horses so you could fit in a couple more warriors XD

Oh and another thing i would like to know is are you not worried about lack of real spear support?
