Hey all,

We have a doubles tourney coming up in a couple months, giving us a decent chance to try some wonky army combos. My buddy and I are trying to figure up a winning strategy, and I wanted to see if you had some suggestions.

I have Space Wolves, Tyranids, and Necrons. He has Chaos (predominantly Death Guard), and an all-genestealer list. Thoughts?

lol wait 1 week and check out adepticons results for the team tournament with the EXACT same format. Should be able to gather a lot from it. I will be doing a full report for each of the events I am entered in so stay tuned and I will let you know how are 4 rounds went.

Fantastic, I look forward to it! Right now we're leaning heavily toward a Space Wolves/Deathguard combo, with the vanguard being Grey Hunters and Plague Marines in Rhinos, with a generous helping of meltas and flamers, supported by 3 full Long Fang squads with Missile Launchers. It leaves a lot of gaps to fill in, but the idea of lots of fire support over aggressive Hunters and tough-as-nails Plague Marines is sound in theory.

I always see the Tallyman+Plaguemarines.
PBS + Callidus is nice too.
Horde Orks + Tank Spam IG is a pretty imposing combo.

If there's no limitations/bonuses on allies then I'm a great fan of Nids/Necrons. Make it nightfight and then just ram stealers, wraiths down their throats. Stealers main weakness is being shot at, but if half the enemy can't even see them ...
