As some of you may have heard at the Infinity forum. We always talk about how the list doesn't win or loose games. It's how you play it. I actually believe that. This is a very balanced game and you can pretty much make a force based on what looks good.

I'm posting this list to talk about HOW to use it. Not what to take and what not to take. Here are some of my thoughts.

I created this list mainly because I wanted to try the Haiduk with a Guided Sniper Rifle. Guided ammo allows for you to use a figure's WIP (with the FO skill) to shoot rather than the shooters BS skill. In this list I have two FO's, the Shrouded and M-Drone. I also have two guided, the Haiduk and T-Drone.

I'm surprised at how much firepower I got into this force. 2 spitfires, 1 GML, 1 GSR (Guided Sniper rifle), and 1 Multi-rifle.

First off I should keep the Haiduk and T-Drone far back and out of sight. Neither needs to see to hit. To protect them I'll have the shrouded hacker near them laying down mines. He will hack if he has to through the M-Drone.

Mid field will be the Gwailos, and Noctifer. The Noctifer may or may not be hidden depending.

The shrouded FO will infiltrate up and I'll try to get light of sight as soon as I can to juicy targets to use the FO ability.

The M-Drone and Aswang with spitfire will have to move up. The M-Drone, I will try to keep out of LoF. With his Sensor skill I don't need to see to use the FO ability. Just be within 8 in. I think I may have the Aswang near the drone to protect it and distract anyone going for it. He can also go Nom-Nom! on anything they take down.

The Aswang Lt. I will probably keep back as usual and take shots of opportunity.

So, any comments on the way I'll use them? Any tactics you think I should use?

First of all I have to say that I really like this list. It’s got a lot of fire power and I think it is very flexible. I would play it as aggressively as possible.

Ok, so here is what I would do. Let’s start with Lt. I agree with you that he should stay in the back and take opportunity targets but I think that he should have a “bodyguard”. Problem with leaving Lt. in the back is that is fairly easy to guess who is your Lt. and it leaves him vulnerable to AD attacks. If you put for example, GWAILO with Boarding Shotgun close to him it will be harder to guess who is Lt. and in a case you have a chance to shoot something you can go with coordinated order and reduce chances of ARO.

Next, I totally agree with you that Haiduk and T-Drone should be in the back. There is no need for them to be exposed but you might consider the option to put SHROUDED Hacker somewhere in the middle. That way you can maximize the table control because you can lay mines and be able to hack something if opportunity arise. For defensive hacking you don’t need LOF so it’s not really important.

Moving on, I agree that FO guys with NOCTIFER and ASWANG with Spitfire should be the spearhead of attack. I usually organize my force in small teams (2 to 4 guys with the idea that they cover each other and as many lines of the approach as possible). So they would be somewhere in the middle of table shooting and FOing everything they can. Here is what I tend to do in some games. I deliberately weaken one side of the table (depending on terrain). So for example I put squishy guy (to act as a decoy) on the left side and two badasses on the right with the idea that opponent will focus his attack on the left. But I also put TO camo troop (hacker or something with mines, ideally both ) on the left and try to cover the left side from the back with either HMG or sniper. I hope I’m not too confusing. Anyway this tactics worked great many times.

Also I see that you don’t have doctor or paramedic. I mean that’s ok but I’m just used to putting at least one doctor in every list I make (but that might be due to extreme inexpensiveness of Haqqislam doctors ).

One more thing, I made this “example table” to analyze and plan armies movement and actions. You might find it useful. Arrows are possible main LOFs and buildings are marked for easier use (do I take this game to seriously? ).

Well that’s an short essay. I hope this helps.

Very good Ender that's exactly what I wanted. Good tactical thinking. Some good advice there and I'll try to keep a lot of it it in mind. That table is really good idea.

Glad I could help, man.
I've been thinking, should we start some sort of General Tactics thread (not this is my list/what should I change but more something like this is how I organize my force on the table, this is how I plan my turns, this is how I advance, this is how I try to squeeze maximum out of my units...)? I don't know how many people would be into that...

I think it's a pretty good idea. That's kind of what I was doing with the Hacker threads. I think though the emphasis should not be on what but how to use it. Because I feel that every fig has it's use as long as it's used right.
