Hello =)
We will try advanced rules next time and I have questions regarding Suppression Fire.
If I understand well, you spend an order to set up a corridor full of bullets. If somebody trip in the corridor, he will receive the full burst.
But...what if somebody is already in the corridor and doesn't move ?
If a model puts a corridor of Suppression Fire on a target, he is allowed to shoot his 3 shots on him. Does the target also take an additionnal 3 shots if he doesn't move or only if he tries to exit the corridor ?
My guess would be if you are in the zone, you get it, but it might be an issue of balance here.
Thanks for clarifying !

If you set up a Suppression Fire, you don't necessarily get 3 shots. You get your full burst value in ARO. Usually, yes, this is 3 with rifles. HMGs and Sniper Rifles can also set up Suppression Fire.
If you send a Long Action to set up Suppression Fire such that the corridor includes an enemy model, you get 3 shots. However, your target, if applicable, will get an ARO against you. Thus, the target will be able to shoot you (normally once) in ARO and you'll get your full burst.
This scenario happens during your turn.
If the target survives that ordeal, nothing will happen during the target's turn IF it does not activate. However, every activation within this Suppression Fire corridor gives you the ability to fire at full burst as an ARO.

It's possible to setup 40 suppression fires on the same target if you have the guys and orders to do it. The problem is that suppression fire is a long skill, so you can't move + suppression fire. You have to get into position then set it up. That's why you if you move then shoot and your target isn't dead you shouldn't just "attempt to shoot again" but rather lay down suppression fire.

Suppression Fire is not meant to, and oftentimes isn't used offensively. It's area-denial.
