I've a question, could I use wood elves warhawks as great hawks in LOTR?

Well, there aren't any hawks in LotR. There are Eagles though

Well, yeah, but that's why I am asking, I don't really like the eagle model, but the hawk from the Wood Elves (fantasy) are awesome.

Tbh, i really don't see why not. Would depend on if people around your area are likely to care really.

Because of the size, I guess?

You can do it in friendlies, but you can't do those things at official GW tournaments.

The reason I say this is because of the licensing. That's why Balrogs can't be Chaos Bloodthirsters too. :(

Yes and because its lazy not to own moddels you intend to field on a regular basis

Well maybe they're just good counts as. Quite a few people just don't like models and feel like using other things instead. Nothing lazy about it. He's still buying models and painting them, Plus you can mount them on the same size base and it won't matter about model size.

Not same gamesystem and the scale is wrong. Hence not a good thing to do, I would flat out refuse tp play anyone not using the correct moddels

Tad harsh there Trond but each to his own

I wouldn't have said it was lazy though, he just doesn't like the mini.

Anyways I wouldn't have a problem, just let me know if your using a proxy. Simple

Maybe but he did ask for our opinions, and he got just that. It should always be noted I dislike proxys with a passion

Yeah, no problem. I will buy 2 ~ 3 warhawks and 2 ~ 3 great eagles, if I play with friends I'll use whatever I want, if I play in a GW tournament, the eagles. Everyone's happy.
