Warhammer Ancients Battles tournament from Adepticon 2012. 14 players fielding a variety of Classical, Dark Age and Medieval armies.

Tournament proceeded smoothly with good sportsmanship demonstrated by all. Appearance was at a high level with a number of well painted armies. This year’s missions used a battle point system, replacing a simple win/lose with multiple objectives worth a variety of points.

I walked around that hall on...saturday, I think. There were some awsome armies in there, really motivated me to pick up all the greeks that I picked up that weekend.

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.

Will we see you playing next year? New players are always welcome - the Doubles event on Sunday had half the field just getting started playing Ancients. While the event is listed as a tournament, its much more relaxed/easy going than the 40K events.

I would love to do at least one tourney for WAB next year if i get the rules and and finalize an army. If one of them is on Saturday that will be the one I do cause I won't be doing the team tourney for 40k next year.

The schedule for 2013 will likely be the same as 2012 with WAB singles on Saturday, WAB doubles on Sunday. Friday will have the big group games, a battle of Hastings re-fight is in the works with some talk of Chariot Wars and/or Medieval games. Somewhere in the schedule, I would like to fit in one or more Hail Caesar events.
