I'd say that list 1 would be the best bet of your list, although I'd go full AV13 wall and swap Immo for another barge lord. Also I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't post indivial costs for the models and wargear for copyright reasons.

Oh my bad i just copied it from army builder.
i like the storm lord and i play vs a lot of mech lists so he gets a lot of use i have found and that night fight has got a lot of use as well. the more i play with him the more i have a hard time no useing him.
i have yet to try a lord on a barge so i know from reading it how good it can be but i have yet to see it first hand

The 2nd seemed like the more troop heavy list. Stronger troop choices seem like the way to go for me. But I don't play crons.

Both of these lists are "interesting".
List 2, the one you've played, is pretty much a pure footcron with a LOT of mass, the voltaic staffs give them cheap close range AT capability (which is maybe all you need with ongoing night fight), the Lords give them some durability and CC capability, two out of three have an attached Overlord. I can see how you could win some games with it. We could make it better.
I'd be interested in who you'd played so far and what point levels, and how they play - ie, what sort of opponents you're going to be facing.

I am not as much of a fan of all mech lists, however that is just me. It is one of those the opponent will either be able to deal with it or not. If you are going to run the tachyon arrow, try to get him in a unit with a chronotek. Trust me on this one, getting a re-roll on a one shot weapon is really nice.
I like list two, just because of the amount of bullets you can put down field. If you had more vehicles I would suggest investing in a trairch stalker, just to twin link all of those gauss shots.

Wait.
These are both relatively shooty armies... that have Imotekh in them?
o__O
B-but, night fight.
Why would you take a lot of 24" guns (plus 8 Lances AND a Tachyon Arrow, no less!), and then just limit how far they can see?
That is literally a bad idea. You are just shooting yourself in the foot.
The obvious solution, as some have stated, is to replace him with a Barge Overlord. If the first build, you've got a couple of Pulses, so you're still getting those first two round of shooting protection.
(plus, if you play around with your points, you may even be able to add a Stalker. With those many shot around, not having them twin-linked (ESPECIALLY the Arrow!) is a crying shame).

Well i have found that it forces people to play at the range that a lot of my guns are yes it limits some of my guns but it cuts down on more fire coming at me then i lose
i got a chance to play the mecrons list last week and it did alight given i was playing vs a gray knight paladin spam and they had cover a lot of the time i was able to put more firepower then i needed in to them to drop them with just mass wounds and he did fail a lot of night fight rolls where i didn't fail as much..
i find that the stormlord is more useful with the footlist and i don't think there is anyway i would ever take him out of that one..... but the mech list i think i could drop him...
and as to the type of lists i tend to play against are for the most part other mech lists some BA, graykights, orks, eldar, guard, a few drop pod lists
what im trying to find and i think the foot list does it best is deal with the meta game of my area by making meltas and walls of armour not mean anything. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also when i come in to a game knowing night fight will be in effect for a lot of the game and the person im playing doesn't expect it or is not use to it it give me a psychological advantage.
and the random lightening has never hurt and i love when it pops stuff and people get mad at it Automatically Appended Next Post: Randall Turner wrote:Both of these lists are "interesting".

For the most park if its not an event we play from 1750-2k for points and the local group is a lot of mech and a few nids
