Hi all, looking to join a gaming club near me [St. Albans] or find people to play 40k against. There's a GW just up the road but I'm a teacher and the thought of spending my spare time with children brings me out in a cold sweat! Plus the hard sell from the employees really annoys me.

I used to go to a club when I lived in London but moved out to the sticks last year. Bit of a massive noob tbh, only played a few games of 40K after being out of the hobby for years. Got a [nearly] fully painted Slaanesh CSM army though and just starting a lizardmen army. Also got a copy of Space Hulk [minus the termies].

I can only really play on weekends due to work commitments.

Any clubs with a min 18 age range anywhere near me? {I've googled it but no success, closest one seems to be Watford]. Anyone want a game with someone who doesn't really know the rules ?

I may be up for a game, I'm over in Borehamwood so not far at all. I have a complete SH and am desperate to get a game in! I have a regular gaming group up in N. Herts but we mainly do RPGs or board/card games once a week. Trying to get a 40k day in soon as most of us have armies stretching back 10 years or so but all of us haven't played in just as long!

I'm currently building up BA, Orks and Guard. I have some Demons, Lizards and Chaos for WFB too. Concentrating on 40k hobby at the moment.

Thanks for the reply chingerspy - I met up with rubicant99 at the Hemel club and have since been round his house to play a couple of times too [all40k], he's a top bloke [although he pretends he doesn't know the rules despite being encycolpedic ] Been bitten by the 40k bug again big time.

Theres another couple of peeps in St. Albans too that rubicant99 met through Dakka. If you can make it to the Hemel club on Monday then I'm always up for a game of 40k, or I can give you a shout if we've got something planned for a weekend.

I'll see about getting over to Hemel too. Give me a shout if there is something happening on a weekend too, even if I don't bring my toys I can come bearing refreshments or something.

I really need to focus on something as I am just painting up various bits and pieces. I get bored easily painting the same thing over and over so have a few different bits on the go to keep it interesting.
