Here we go again! It's the third Blood and Oil...

Rules

The tournament will use the Steamroller 2012 rules pack and is open to 64 players. There will be 6 games over the weekend. If there are 32 or less players, 5 games will determine the event standings, with the 6th game being used for grudge matches and giggles. Players will be using two, fifty point lists, each led by a different caster. In this event, Prime and Epic (and double epic!) casters are considered to be different casters. Each list must include a reinforcement section worth up to an extra ten points. Each list must be used at least twice during the event. Lists must be submitted to LeicesterPhatCats@hotmail.co.uk before 3rd November.

Games will be 100 minutes in duration and each turn will be 12 minutes long. Once per game a player may use a 5 minute time extension to their turn. They may declare that they are using this extension at any point during their turn.

Results will be sent to Rankings HQ.

Best Painted Army, using Dancing Monkey's 'Golden Thrall' plan!

Sportsmanship

"The King of Sponge Valley", because someone has to come last...

The Ammo Games Awards - Those fine folks over at Ammunition Games have added an extra set of prizes to the pot. Basically the top 3 most bloodthirsty generals by the end of the event will win an engraved 50cal shell. I wanted to call it the "When You Absolutely, Positively, Have to Kill Every Mother Hubbard on the Board Award", but Ammo Games said they'd need a bigger shell...

In addition, certificates will be awarded to the top players in each faction.

Golden Gobber Painting Contest!

Righty-oh, in conjunction with the tourny, we're going to run a painting contest to get some pretty models shown to the rest of the gaming world!

There are going to be 5 catagories to enter, and you can enter as many as you like, but only one entry per catagory.

1. Best Warcaster/Warlock
2. Best Warjack/Warbeast
3. Best Unit - this is a unit of 5 to 10 models. All figures must come from the same unit type, eg. 5 to 10 Long Gunners.
4. Best Huge Model - Battle Engines and Colossal
5. Best Battlegroup - one Warcaster/lock and another 20 pts of models on a display base measuring not more than 30cm by 30cm.

Entries should be brought to the Phat Cats lair during the tourny.

Judging will take place on the 18th, with results being announced at the end of the day.

Prizes for the Golden Gobber winners have been kindly donated by GC Gaming Supplies. Each winner will get a set of 4 paints made from the Valjello Game and Model Colour lines or Citadel Paints.

Light conversion work will be allowed, so long as the majority of a model is made up from it's original components.

Any questions or interest post it here!
