As stated in the title theres a 1k Highlander tourny at my LGS and seeing how BT are extremely expensive im deciding to take my orks. This is my first attempt at a 1k list C&C are welcomed

The strat is kan wall for the boyz while the gretchin and Big mek follow in the Battle wagon 1st turn then start shooting 2nd and so on. Id use the deff dread to hold home objectives and park him in area terrain and skorch anything that gets to close. Gretchin will hopefully b in a fortress for easy objective holding or hiding so i dont lose that KP. C&C appreciated

So, the Big Mek is just going to be in a Battle Wagon all by himself?

No w/ the gretchin, my bad when i said fortess i should of been more specfic ie the battlewagon

I suggest taking out the Looted wagon from the list and replace it with a squad of Boyz with staple Nob. All the enemy has to do is take out the big group and you lose your power.

The Tournement is Highlander meaning you can only take one unit of something. So only one Boy squad hence the gretchin.

Killa Kans have BS3, I'd take advantage of that and give them something else instead of skorchas. Kustom Megablasters perhaps, as they are also immune to gets hot.

Also, a guntank battlewagon is a big point sink imo.

They are Bs3 but i dont have the 30 points to give em rokit launchas like i would like to. and the battle wagon hopefully w/ 14 front armour ot soak up some shots. otherwise what else could i get and stay competitive?

I like it. What kind of Boyz mob? Shoota or Slugga? I find the Shoota Boyz to be more effective overall than Slugga Boyz.

Take the rokkits out of the boyz unit then... If they aren't shootaz, they should be running every turn until they can get their podgy green fingers closed round the enemies throats.

The gretchen in the BW seem kinda pointless. and in a 1k fight I wouldn't bother taking a looted wagon. Same for the deff dread. Imo you should drop both and put burna boys in the BW along with your Big Mek.
