Hey guys and welcome to my Black Templar blog. I've never attempted to paint a full scale army before, so I started this blog to document my experience and also use it to keep me motivated , as I imagine churning out initiate after initiate will get tiresome, but hopefully you guys will keep me going.

So I should first mention that I dont play games often, so many of the models might not have the best wargear etc, but will hopefully look cool as frick!

Okay! so here is where I stand at the moment, a small start, but hey, everyone has to start somewhere right?!

So that right there is the start of my HQ choice, a command squad being led by a marshal. I'll keep you updated to me progress!

Okay so a small update, but I want to keep these quite frequent.

Unboxed everything and decided to get warmed up before i hit the marshal, so i dove into the command squad. For some reason i was drawn to the Apothecary first of all and decided to try my hand at painting white for the first time. I primed the legs and went to town. All im going to say is i now have a new found respect for white scars players... DAMMIT is it hard to get a smooth coat.

So after trying and failing i decided to assemble the whole mini to give you guys an idea of what im aiming for, and to move onto the champion for now. I'll probobly come back to the Apothecary last.

Hopefully will have a pic of the champion WIP before i go to bed tonight!

Okay so after the not so successful start i believe to me making some real headway with the Champion. I've managed to get a nice solid black base coat, and have done some gold trimming. I've also made a start on the tabbard, its shaded but not highlighted yet. I've also got a lot better at paining solid white, as you can see from the shield thats almost finished, just need to write on the scroll. So all thats left to do is highlighting and the power weapon, hope you like it.

More to come tomorrow!
