This is my GF wanting to learn warhammer 40k. I myself only have 3 games played so Im not the best teacher. But she is rly interested and she even takes notes (u can see her notebook on the table). We got to the shooting phase and she LOVES playing the games of 'what do I need to roll to hit and wound'. We take random models and she must tell me the values and the results. Enjoy ^^

Eh? I've seen many videos about how to play 40k, but never yet seen a video of a guy filming his girlfriend in the process of learning... I don't quite get understand the point, but I cringed when she did. >.< Just.. why?

I just thought it was a rare sight to see her actually opening the codex and making notes and I think its actually quite funny ^^

If he has indeed "got" her into it, as he "got" her in frame for photographic evidence, I don't envy her at all.

It'd actually be pretty cool if you two done some previous video logs about 40k, and had some kind of back story about you / both / her like why she's inclined to play, what army / armies she wants to play, etc.. I actually love seeing videos like that from anyone, they're always interesting.

But as it is, it just looks like "Random guy's girlfriend has shown interest in 40k! OMG! Get the camera! People gotta see!"

Dude Im sorry it irritates you so much, and I definitely see where you're coming from now. But is there such a need to make 4 comments on it, makes you look like you have issues (which I trust you dont). I guess I missed the point, it says in the vid description that she likes to play this game that she choses 2 random models from the rulebook and according to the stats, she likes to 'calculate' or 'guess' the rolls she needs to make - it's like sudoku for her or something. That's it. Anyways, I asked the mod to delete the thread, I thought plp would be more mature (even though I agree I can see that now it wasnt the smartest move from me)...just dont want more flame wars. Peace

I have huge issues with insomnia, which generally means that there have been a lot of occasions in which I've made many more than 4 posts to one thread. I do apologise to you for my harshness though; it's apparent that we certainly didn't see it the same way.

Exactly what happens. Except mine also appreciates painting and when I convert a model. Although I can't tell if she's impressed with the model itself, or the fact I didn't cut my hand off (I've had a few hobby related...accidents)

I am glad you take this much interest in each other.(I have been married for years so I find it nostagic.)

BUT I also think it would have been nicer to have a 'here is how we learned to play 40k ' vid with both of you in it.(With her concent , rather than just random filming of her.)
