scrap the vendetas boom everyone has 4+ and has a chimera and also give everyone either a shot gun or a lasgun depending n what you want but keep it even say x2 and x2 or all out (give power weapons to people with shotguns)

also what will your ccs be doing they are not in a chimera? are they lr shooting? because if they are then the orders they do are useless you might as well give them x5 meltaguns and put them in a chimera as well

tanks sposons so you have 3 heavy bolters and 1 battle cannon per tank

The list looks good to me. I would personally not drop the vendettas, they are the only ranged AT fire you have there. And with or without carapace, if the chimera goes, the guardsmen inside are going to die fast. 4+ vs 5+ doesnt make much of a difference for all those points.

I would drop the power weapons, 10 squishy guardsmen are going to either die in CC fast or run. With those 30 points you can deck out the LRBTs with lascannons, something I rarely recommend.

Also, am I right in assuming the one vet squad and the CCS will be positioned back as fire support? They probably wont last too long, but should be able to dish out some pain. Maybe consider dropping the AC and LC and giving both Melta or Plasma and throwing them in vendettas? Also maybe bring some plasma.

Other than those few suggestions it looks solid. Keep the LRBTs plain and simple and keep them moving that 6" every turn.

Yea the plan is to camp the CCs and Ac vet squad, as the games will all be objective and have 4 onjs, so the 2 squads will hold one.

I agree with keeping the vendettas, im considering dropping the LC and maybe putting in another Ac, putting the extra 10pts into maybe 2 snipers in the ccs or something.

The power weapons have helped in the past, made a sm squad into a size of only 3 and adding th epower weapon is what won me the combat without loosing anyone.

I'd agree with UMguy, though you could put your CCS in a chimera with meltas and make two vet squads with plasma and demolitions and put them in your vendettas. Drop your vendettas in with a deep strike, let those vets loose with 6x plasma rifles and two demo charges. Watch the enemys back field run!
And vanilla Leman Russ' work perfectly fine. They're great against hordes and decent against armor.

A nice tactic is to keep your chimeras behind your russ' for protection, everything will be trying to get through that 14AV to get to your chimeras and for the most part, that likely won't happen. Then once you get your Vendettas in, you'll have them trapped, but you've gotta be careful were you DS those vendettas, they'll only get one shot when the hit the ground, but you'd have vets coving them till their next turn. It's all in how you play it.

And jbsnv, I don't know why you hate Vendettas so much, every post about Vendettas, you tell people to remove them, this is in fact the first time I haven't seen you call them crap. Either you bought a few and they've never worked out or it's just some kind of unnatural hatred. lol
