Sci-fi mod is already in the works/ being playtested.

Im thinking anything from kill team/Necromunda style play could potentially be played if it is a good system...

I remember seeing this on TMP, but I wasn't interested since sci-fi wasn't included and a 22 buck PDF is a bit much for an unknown game. I'll keep an eye on this now though.

If you're looking for some fast-play necromunda style action, I'd check out Neutron York. I just bought it a couple days ago and It's one of those rare rulesets that I actually feel that I understand before playing! Looks to be a bit more cruchy than Song of Blades, but not by much. I really like the opposed D6 mechanism that they use, and at 7 bucks, it's not much of a risk...
