Well we all knew Obama was going to change things, like his mind.

So when a Navy SEAL talks to Bigelow for a movie on the event it is 'leaking' information, but if Tom Clancy talked to him it would just be research?

Going by the article the only classified information, at best, that was known was the name of the SEAL Captain and that information is never leaked. If the best they have is that they asked not to reveal the name of a Captain and they in fact did not reveal the name of the Captain, this seems a bit suspect as to whether anyone actually did anything wrong, and then to further go out of the way to call it 'the Obama Administration' that leaked it seems a bit odd as well. It is both overreaching and under-delivering. Feels like a slow news day article.

Some of the methodologies they use are not intended for public release.

Obama doesnt care about that, he wants personal ratings not continued operational efficiency. Let anyone and everyone know the tricks of the trade, so long as the US populace think he is a kewl president thats all dandy.

Then I suppose it is a good thing that it doesn't state anywhere in the article that their methodologies were released. I suppose that is the nice thing about the article. It just let's the reader fill in the blanks if they so choose to since it really doesn't give almost any information at all beyond "Conservative watchdog group makes claim based on emails". They have the documents and the best they can come up with "Do not reveal the name of the Navy SEAL"? There is nothing here but fuel to flame people who just don't like the President and will get incensed over anything, even if it is nothing.

So whats the point in interviewing him then?

The SEAL's identity was the classified information. That isn't supposed to be given to anyone who doesn't have appropriate security clearance.

When the government gave it to the reporter they breached the classified wall. There is nothing, other than the interviewer's promise, that prevents him from revealing the information. There is no punishment for revealing the information.

Note that the identity of the "planner, SEAL Team 6 Operator and Commander" was blacked out in the documents Judicial Watch received as part of their FOA suit.

A bit more information that could be used as a beginning point to finding out how much, if any amount, the Obama administration let out about this man.
