Food for thought:
Wolf Lord, Thunderwolf mount, TH, SS, Runic armor, WTT, Saga of Majesty 245
Iron Priest, Thunderwolf mount, 4x Cyberwolf 155
Iron Priest, Thunderwolf mount, 4x Cyberwolf 155
Iron Priest, Thunderwolf mount, 4x Cyberwolf 155
(5) Grey hunters, flamer 75
Razorback, TLHB 40
(5) Grey hunters, flamer 75
Razorback, TLHB 40
(5) Grey hunters, flamer 75
(3) Thunderwolf cavalry: 175
1x PF+ BP
1x BP+ CCW
1x bolter+ CCW
(3) Thunderwolf cavalry: 175
1x PF+ BP
1x BP+ CCW
1x bolter+ CCW
(8) Fenrisian wolves 64
(6) Long fangs, 5x Missile launcher 140
(6) Long fangs, 5x Missile launcher 140
(6) Long fangs, 5x Missile launcher 140
= 1849
Its not balanced, but it should be fun to play
Wolf Lord joins the Fenrisian Wolves, if someone didn't get it Then he hands out rerolls to Morale tests, so when one TWC dies the other 2 don't run off
Basically, you have 6 units that are bitches to kill at range, and will smash anything except dedicated CC units to a pulp. The Long fangs are there to pop transports, 15 missiles is nothing to sneeze at for a " CC" list after all
Just one thing, never EVER allocate wounds to your Iron priest if you can avoid it. You might be feeling pretty confident rolling that 2+ to catch that Krak missile, but when you fail it the whole fething unit disappears. Don't risk it.
Your scoring department is kinda crappy, but they should be sitting in reserve every time when playing objective missions anyway. The razors make them more resilient to fire, at least until your opponent pops them
But yeah, 3 troops is kinda iffy, I'd rather play 4 (actually 5, really ) but you get what you get. Can't really think of a way to fit in a 4th troop without gimping the rest of the list. Drop the 5th Missile Long fang from each group and 2 Cyberwolfs if you really want? Dunno.
But yeah, comments and thoughts welcome =)

This is quite possibly the most unique Space Wolf idea I have ever seen. Absolutely awesome. Kudos for originality big time. At 1850 to be honest everyone is going to be freaking out so much over all the crazy speed you have on the board they probably won't even realize the Grey Hunters are there lol

Thanks =)
This list actually came out of pretty much nowhere, I just thought it up randomly now (time is 4am in Finland atm Tired brain FTW ). But yeah, I'll try it out for a couple of games, might even take it to a tournament in a couple of months, as I have the models for it. Automatically Appended Next Post: But yeah, I figure the Grey Hunters will survive pretty well with all the other threats you're shoving down your opponents throat. If your opponent is shooting your Grey Hunters instead of the TWC that is rampaging through his lines... yeah, good luck with that
Just a random pointer, if you're facing another CC list, feel free to sit back and shoot, 15 missiles is really pretty nice for a list that likes to be in CC.

I don't get how the iron priest unit is difficult to kill at long range. A 3 Guard ACs can get 3 hits, nearly 3 wounds, and suddenly you are down to 1 wolf and your iron priest. cue vendetta, unit dead. Alternatively, a manticore should wipe the whole lot of wolves and leave just the iron priest.
Similarly, with no invul saves on your wolf units at all, they are going to suffer on their way across the board. Anything S10 means you have to make your armour save (if you get it) or lose the whole 2 wound model.
I don't think it is that good of a list, the Twolf units will also struggle against PW units with high I, or ones that can suck up a lot of wounds (blob squads).
The speed will also leave your long fangs unsupported, especially if you are reserving your grey hunters, then you are relying on good rolls to get them into support your long fangs, or bad rolls to keep them off board as long as possible.

I like it, but the wolves are going to die in droves and you don't have enough of them to make them all that expendable. I'm mostly talking about the 3 x TWC units. They will die rather quickly without any storm shields or without 5 in the squad. Looks like fun either way though.

The units should have cover, always. Makes your Cyberwolves/Fenrisians/ TWC far more survivable. Against IG, hug area terrain, against direct fire just have the frontmost unit stick to area and give cover to everyone else.
But yeah, the idea of this list isn't to play a deathstar, that's why no SS on the TWC, the idea is to have many small(ish) units that will smack other MSU squads flat. Ie. every 5man marine squad WILL die to one of those TWC/Iron Priest squads.
But yeah, keep them comments coming I'm still not entirely sure this list is tournament worthy

But you can't have it both ways, cover and speed. One always gets sacrificed for the other, short of just lovely rolling, which you shouldn't count on. Things like Manticores and basilisks will be able to ignore cover which isn't area terrain depending on where the template lands, and orders can force you to re-roll successful cover saves against the ACs, HBs and what not that the infantry squads will have, meaning the cover you are relying on will be only half as effective for a lot of the shots. The Colossus (which you probably won't see, but should still consider) ignores the cover all together, although it would only get one shot before being assaulted (unless it is bubble wrapped).
Also, be aware of units like rough riders, which can counterattack quite effectively against a small unit of TWC like you are running. Also, Marbo can act like a douche to you like he can to every other army, either popping up beside a unit who is hiding behind a wall and bombing them, or tying up/badly hurting your long fangs for a turn.
Admittedly this is all IG advice, because it is the only army I am really competent with, so yeah, who knows about the other armies.

I had a build similar to this last summer. I loved it, and yes IG are a pain to deal with when it comes to this build. However they are not the only army your likely to face and as with any build, you throw enough shots down range and you can pick apart almost any army build.
One of the things I always did was run Canis along with another wolf lord and let them join your unit of fenrisian wolves. I liked canis for two reasons hes not badly priced for a lord mounted on a thunder wolf and he makes all your fenrisian and cyber wolves I5.
Anyways I just wanted to throw in my support. Go out and have some fun with this build and let us know how it does.

Yeah, it'd be a scary army, and I think some armies like DE may struggle against it, since they rely so much on being faster than the enemy, and in this case, well, they aren't. Also, Tau will probably hate it a little. "You JSJ'd back 6"? I assault 12 lol!"

That list would eat a Tau army. I should know I used to play them and a Thunderwolf Cav army rocked me something awful the one and only time I played against it. Wolf Scouts are your friend, always remember that. So many people don't play Wolf Scouts but they are awesome.
