In small pt games you need numbers.
A Stormraven and a GKGM are too expensive at this pt level. I'd play it more conventionally, with GKSS and Psyfleman Dreads.

perhaps it would be easier to critique this list if you told us what "all the works" means. Also, if you're playing a 1000 pt game, you can't have an army over 1000 pts. As for the list you have now, what are your plans for the GM? is he going to ride in the storm raven all by his lonesome? For the strike squads, I would recommend not upgrading their force swords to anything, with the exception of one or two hammers. A strike squad works best when you shoot the enemy down, then use assault for cleanup. Points spend upgrading their assault weapons are just going to end up being a waste.

Sorry about not including the works, felt it might have been against the rules. Well to include the works they have halberds , two pyscannons, and a daemon hammer

With only one attack it is not really worthwhile to give strike squads halberds. You are better off going with Psybolt Ammo for the storm bolters and focusing on their shooting power. Strike Squad's power in the assault phase is nice bonus, but it is not their specialty.

If you want halberds, then purifiers hold them the best. More attacks, cheap to upgrades. You could take a cheap Brotherhood champion and some purifiers in a rhino or a razorback

At low points, GK lists rely on the fact that the Psycannon is an amazing gun. You can take out pretty much any target from Vehicles to MC's to Infantry.

That being said you are looking for a "fun" list, and your list is interesting. If you are set on the Storm Raven, it would be better to put a unit in it rather than a Hero independent character.

Maybe consider a cheap inquisitor and Henchmen unit. You could afford it if you drop some of the extra stuff on the Strike squads and the Grand Master.

I'd say drop the GM, he's waaay to many points, and those halberds as they aren't worth it on a SS. Then with that 260 points you have left I'd go with:

Ordo Malleus Inquisitor - terminator armour, psycannon, nemesis deamonhammer - 80pts
(nice cheap 3W HQ toting another psycannon)

5 Purifiers - 4 halberds, incinerator. w. razorback, psybolt ammo - 178pts
(Purifiers are nasty, you can run another incinerator for free if you want as well the razorback chugging out 3 twinlinked S6 shots a turn)

That razor depends what your going to put in the stormraven though, as if you put the purifiers in it you could get a few more guys or a couple of psycannons instead
