There should be:
a message sent to each person who has a birthday on the day of.
a list at the bottom of the index with members that have a birthday that day. (Or add a birthday color to the color-key)

As messed up as it sounds, I'm Facebook friends with the people I most talk with on Dakka. It's easier to keep up with their real lives that way.
