I'd almost think it was from the studio that did Apple Seed, except they didn't try this time (not that Apple Seed looked that good to start with).

Ordered it two days ago from amazon. Reviews so far have been surprisingly positive. Can't wait to see it for myself.

It doesn't lend itself as well to conveying emotions.

The studio was the same that did Vexille, but its director also worked on Appleseed so that's half-right.

Appleseed ... I found it a bit hard to get into its visuals, but after a while it grew on me. I still prefer drawn animation, though, and am happy that the Mass Effect anime (to be produced by studio I.G.) will be done in that way. That said, the newer trailers for the DA anime atl east look better than the first bits they showed, so ... let's see! Literally.
