As has been promised for a while now, plastic Samurai Cavalry are likely on their way shortly.

This has been taken from their facebook page as a visualisation of what the guys on horses are likely to look like.

If the price point remains the same or similar to their other boxes, it's likely that they will be 12 for around $20-$25, which is pretty damn good.

As the paint jobs given to them on the previous box sets weren't so hot, and the grey renders/images for the troops weren't so great either, I have snagged a painted unit from a hobbyist from another forum to show how they can turn out.

Looks like an easy way to do an Empire or High Elf army on the cheap. Most of the core is covered, just need models to fill in for the more exotic stuff. Or alternatively you could actually use them to represent historical Samurai guys in 28mm scale.

I'm not their biggest fan, but at least Takeda people will be very happy

I still do hope though that this line inspires Perry to pursue plastic Samurai. Especially since theres still plenty of things to fill in (like warrior monks)

Will they come with Horos though? I doubt it I suppose, they'll probably use Sashimonos

I hope there is at least one horo per unit, but considering how bulbous a horo is, on a frame i doubt it.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

And they're now up for sale! 12 for $20 on the War Games Factory Website.

Photo's of the finished product;

I can't remember the last time I got 12 mounted dudes that cheap from GW. Must have been back in the day when you got a skeleton army in a box for $40 or so. New Samurai Empire Army here I come.

Better detail than their previous samurai, but the rider's pose is too stiff for charging horses. Some repositioning might fix that out. Overall, not too shabby for $20.

I recognize the value in Wargames Factory minis, I just hate the poses of their samurai.

I like the Yari Ashigaru and their box of missile troops however.

When are they going to stop using such horrendous box art?
