Has anyone tried this game "Ronin"? My gaming store stocks it. It's cheap and it looks pretty cool.

I searched this forum and the board game forum but did not find anything. I did find a thread on another forum from 2003, so I don't know how up to date the game is.

Is this the game where you build robots and customize them to fight? That game went OOP a long time ago.

Unfortunately ellif is right, it went oop a long time ago.

It was a great game especially if you can get ronin war which includes tanks, fighters as well as the large and small mechs. The base sets ronin duel are also fun to play with but not so impressive.

Game mechanics are easy and include a heat management system to balance small and large weapons. The 'feel' of the game goes even more in the direction of an arcade battletech tabletop due to the rotatable torsos of the larger mechs.

Interesting game, fun to paint and play. Furthermore the ronin war box was at the base price already a very good deal.

Best regards
alex

p.s. does your shop has a homepage? do they have ronin war boxes and do the ship internationally?

They do have a homepage and they do have Ronin War. Cheap as well (I think, hehe). I have no clue whether or not they ship internationally though.
