They can be fairly understanding with a single model or two, I would not let that stop you (PM if you need more details(

a Lego flyer might be going too far (someone once brought a Lego necron doomscythe)

While the tournament will be great for learning the rules and nuances of 6th, until NOVA decides on allies and army lists can be finalized, I don't really see this as a Prep tournament for NOVA.

True- but Nova's leaning "yes" on allies, and "aegis only" on fortifications, from what MVBrandt / a few others have posted initially, right? So it might be worth emulating that...

No primer missions available yet though, I thought?

You're still going to be there, no?

Depends. My army was invalidated by 6th edition. I'm debating on what to take.

Invalidated? Or inconvenienced?

Hmm Probably the latter. It was based on infiltrating scouts, scout bikers and Shrike with an assault unit. If I had first turn, they would move in and assault vehicles and tough infantry/artillery units. If not they would outflank. Without the ability to charge when using those abilities, the army won't work. I tried using terminators today and they were ok (instead of the assault marines), but the other elements won't work at all.

Ugh no allies in the prep tournament?

Fortifications and Allies not confirmed for Nova, and are optional rules, so for now, no.

The Golden Throne

As optional as using any slots other than compulsory, p. 109 FOC. The greyed out boxes on the entire chart are described as optional.

I know most events will have limitations as this one.

Yes, allies are not "optional" they're just not "mandatory". I think people are mis-reading that page.

Optional = you don't have to take them, just like you don't have to take 3 elite choices. Mandatory = 1 HQ and 2 troops

Nova is leaning yes on allies, and yes on at least the aegis line, from what I've been reading here and on their site...

MVB spoke, and demand is high. so Updated

Bring allies, great chance to learn but Serious WYSIWYG, conversions are welcome (I am serious guilty) but be reasonable.
