I'm looking for any input on how good it is, and also to make sure it's not completely violating any canon.

I realize it's slightly different, but that's what makes it interesting. I'm looking more to make sure it doesn't fly in the face of anything that is well established.

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.

Black text on grey background does not make for easy reading.
Sadly, my motivation to read this does not extend past the discomfort of the poor color choices.
Hope someone else can bear it for you.

Many people would agree that the most poorly conceived dark websites cause eye-strain. Too much or too little contrast is usually the culprit. How does one find the perfect balance?

If you are in a room that is pitch black, suddenly looking directly into light is not pleasant. But looking at a less bright light in a less dark room is just fine. The same principle applies to web design.

Finding the perfect contrast means balancing the darkness of the background with the lightness of the text.

It looks like that website has the same background color.

I'll look into making it darker and using white text.

The other possibility is to use a black background that has pictures of stars and stuff.

Hey, thanks for your feedback on the skin. I recently completely redid the skin to a dark gray with white text, which is easier to read, and feels more grimdark. If you're interested in reading it, that would be great too,
