Hello all!

Decided to take on a new project with the release of 6th Edition 40K.

As I think just about every rumour mill is in agreement that we have to be seeing a Tau update within the next few months, I felt as a lover of the shooty armies, I should really go and do the shootiest of the shootys!

As I am feeling that some of the models may get some revamped kits, I've started the army with some real core units that will always be the mainstay.

Army Start :-

Commander in an XV9 Battlesuit (Love them from FW as they look like Geth Primes )

2x Fire Warrior Squads
2x Devilfish

1x Hammerhead

Ok,

So I spent a good part of this weekend trying out some different schemes. I've tried a Space Marine Salamander style armour which looked alright. The one which I think I have settled on for the Dai'To legion is as follows:

This guy just needs his radio transmitter stuck on his head:

The colour scheme is using the following:

Prime: AB VMA Gray Primer

Armour: AB Khorne Red Base, AB Evil Suns Scarlet, Troll Slayer Orange Highlight, Carrouberg Crimson Shade

Clothes: Abaddon Black Base, Dark Reaper, Dawnstone, Nuln Oil Shade

Lights and Eye: Necron Abyss Base, Enchanted Blue, Lightning Blue, Skull White

Burnished Gold + Gryphone Sepia for the gold on the gun

Anyways. Just a short update. Let me know criticisms or ideas for the scheme. Once it's refined, I will try out a devilfish in the colours.
