Well, I figured since my latest purchases have now arrived, I'd start a bit of a progress blog on here to keep track of my progress and actually give me some motivation and ideas to complete (and later expand) the army. Without further ado, here's what arrived on my porch this morning.

In case its a little hard to make out, the pile of stuff contains
- Romanian Infantry Battalion
- 2x TAC 43 AT Gun Blisters
- 3x TACAM T60 Blisters
- 4x Steyr Kfz 70 Truck Blisters
- 2x Opel Blitz Truck Blisters
- 1x Schneider 105mm Gun Blister
- 1x Company HQ (Command Group for artillery)
- 1x Mortar Platoon Blister

I'm also still waiting for another 5x Opel Blitz trucks to show up from Zvezda. That said, this stuff should keep me busy for awhile.

For those interested, here's the 1000pt list I'll be using, as well as the expanded 2000pt list

Divisional Heavy AT Platoon w. 3 TAC 43 and trucks - 160
Corps Heavy Artillery Battery w. 2 105mm guns, observer team and trucks - 125

Total 995pts

Expanded List

Any thoughts or suggestions people may have are appreciated!

Lookin good! But, you now have to post picks of it being assembled, painted, and of the final product.

Pics are coming as soon as I find my phone charger.

As far as whats been accomplished, I've finished off 1 of the opel blitz trucks, with the other 3 nearing completion. All but the mortar platoon and the motorizata squads themselves are primed and ready to paint. Hopefully by tomorrow evening I'll have them ready to go assuming the weather clears up.

Does anyone have any advice on the army itself? I've yet to play a real infantry based army, so my experience is a little lacking

I have some general advice. Whenever you are on the defensive dig in you infantry, they get amazing saves that way. Also try to ambush as much as possible if you can. Finally terrain=intrantry's best friend, learn to use it and love it.
