Right after a 3 week long camp, I came home to the computer and went to the GW website.
I discovered that some of the prices have been raised. At least, that seems to be the
case for the USA. The prices have been predominantly raised for vehicles in 40k; the Chimera used to be $35, now
it's $37.25. Also in Fantasy, I think the Pistoliers and Flagellants cost $4 more. Any thoughts, critics, or responses?
(reasoning from GW would help ) Maybe it's because of the 6th edition release. I think they anticipated the
vehicle grabs from the new rules. better vehicles, yeh.

Old news is not news. GW has a price increase every year.

I thought the prices were raised earlier than three weeks ago, but I haven't been paying that much attention since I gave up on buying GW stuff last year. This happens every year.

Reasoning is simple: They do it because they believe that they can and that enough people will still buy it. It's worked for them so far; they might be selling fewer models but they're not making less money, or at least it hasn't had enough of a negative impact for them to change their practices.
