I am on a very tight budget with building my soviet army and when I was researching different companies I ran into old glory's command decision ww2 range. I can't seem to find too many reviews for their products online so I thought I'd ask you guys whether these minis are worth checking out. Also, if they're any good, where should I buy them from? Thanks.

Its good stuff but not that much cheaper then BF. It depends on what you want to buy really, Zvevda do some cracking early war stuff that cost a fraction, PSC do some great stuff too and FIB are fantastic.

My advice is to shop around to get the best deal, you'll find it all mixes and matches well together.

I like the Old Glory stuff that I have. If you want to see photos of the miniatures that come in the packs, there are some good photos at Skytrex's site here.

I have some and am satisfied with the quality.

One of the online stores was selling at 40% off, which gave you 3 for nearly the same price as one BF model.

I've got a bunch of their Command Decision guns and vehicles, good stuff. I usually pick stuff up at shows or mail order it from Skytrex.

Metal infantry isn't that much more expensive and is much more forgiving. I'm not the biggest fan of PSC's plastic infantry. PSC have the best (and smallest) range of vehicles, they're my first choice for vehicles closely followed by Zvesda and FiB. Lots of companies, Old Glory included, make better infantry. Currently FiB and Peter Pig are my favourites.

Be sure to check out the warstore.com, they have an entire section for this. As they often have it cheaper than it is on the website (plus cheaper shipping for us Yanks too .

My army is made up entirely of Old Glory models, and they seem to be pretty nicely detailed, however be prepared for lots of flash. If you're ok with a bit of cleanup, they're nice models (and I like the fact that they're metal).

If you go to The War Web, they have a constant 40% discount on Old Glory, which makes their models quite cheap, with infantry being $10 for packs of 50. Most vehicles are $15 for packs of three.

http://warweb.com/World-War-II_c833.htm

They don't include bases though. I got my bases at:
http://www.sarissa-precision.co.uk/store/bases/

All in all I got a 1000pt LW Mech army for around $200. That's pretty reasonable, especially when you look at how much that Tale of Two Cities is costing.

Warweb can take a long time to ship though (as in, a month). I don't think they carry much inventory and have to get it from the manufacturer.

This is the case, as they have to wait for the models be manufactured (I think they get a shipment in about every two weeks) before they can send them out. So, it depends on whether you want speed or cheap models.

I don't know how long it takes for them to ship, but NobleKnight carries OG at 20% off list.
