So recently my father just lost about several thousand points of his ork army (if this is in the wrong forum please go ahead and move it). We were up at our local FLGS in Holt Michigan last Friday and a couple days later he realized he left his case with orks there. So we drove back to pick it up. When we got there we looked around the store but couldn't find it. He asked the owner if he had seen it or if he had seen someone take it (the army is stored in a big grey tool crate that doubles as a seat) but the owner said he had not seen it.

The army is very hard to miss. All of the orks have blue skin and snow bases. One of the battle wagons has a big snow blower in the front and the other one has a large prow in the front. One of the other more striking parts of the army is that there is a large squad of nob bikers who are all converted in some way. Please shoot me a PM if you find out anything.

Register and spread the word on a variety of these local forums to increase your odds of someone picking up on your loss. Also, social networking is your friend.

Revist the gaming store as well and discuss the issue with some of the frequent attendees. If at all feasible a time investment of this nature can pay off.

@Lt.Soundwave: thank you for the advice, both of us are on the 40k Fight Club ( my father is the chapter master of the local legion) so he did post something on the forum there.
We did stop by the store again and the army was there. Come to find out it was hiding under one of the tables!

He must have been so relieved. I'd go nuts if I lost an army outright, cost aside, those models represent so so much quality 'me' time!

Oh wow, thats good to hear! I remember a while ago a local gamer got his car broken into, someone who wasnt a gamer found all his models and when he opened his cases, found they were models (thought they were worthless I guess) and just chucked them across the sidewalk :/

well, glad it hear it was just misplaced! I would went crazy and slept in the store before I left again without one of my armies
