Been on the fence about getting into Infinity. This is the List I am thinking of starting with. Is 150 too big for a starter game? should I go down to 100?

YuJing 150 swc 2.0/3.0

4x KuangShi w/chain rifle
Celestial guard w/combi
Celestial Guard w/ kuang shi control device
Tiger Soldier w/combi +LFT
Tiger Soldier w/HMG
Shang Ji w/combi +LFT

In a slightly different list i have Ko Dali instead of the Shang Ji because she has a MSV

Let me know if this army will be headaches or get shredded on the table.

but I'd swap out the Shang Ji for Ko Dali.

Personally I find the Shang Ji a tad costly and seen as he'll be wondering around on his own he'll get targetted pretty quickly.

I'm guessing you'll keep your 2 celest guard (1 being your Lt?) pretty much out the firing line. Let the Kuangs move up nice and quick (being impetuous) then go bang. And then outflank with the 3 Tiger Soidlers (Ko Dali being one of them) using Airbourne antics!

You would have problems with that many AD at the beginning of the game. If she's your Lt. you would start the game with only 2 orders until she's on the board. If not her, it's obvious your CG is the Lt.. Tigers are great but they can't be used excessively. They are order hogs and you are going to loose a lot of orders fast. Kuang Shi add in cheap orders but they die fast too.

I thought the Lt had to be on the board at the start of the game

Found a couple threads on this over on the infinity Forums last night (as i thought the same). i would link, but i cant get onto the Forums from Work...

Basically, your Lt can start off the board, and you begin the game in 'Loss of Lt', however, when your Lt AD's in, your order pool is immediately restored, minus the orders you spent on AD.

So you can drop in your Lt (with another Tiger if they are...forgotten the word....doing the drop together basically), and then have the rest of your order pool (minus 2 orders) ready for use. not sure how Impetuous troops work with this exactly, but you may need to use their Impetuous orders first...

Yes, if your Lieutenant has the Tactical Jump skill, when he gets on the board, the order pool is restored. But then, your opponent will clearly know who your Lieutenant is.

Not sure I'll be using that but it's always good to get rules the right way round!
