This is my first eldar list, i've done some research on several websites and this seems to be a solid list...
i already own;
1 avatar
1 fire prism
1 autarch with power sword (other arm not attached and neither is back)
10 dire avengers

Preferably i would use as many of the models as possible from what i already own, but i can convert the autarch into a farseer if that would save me having to buy another model, and never using the autarch!
I will be mostly be playing against a nurgle themed chaos army, and after playing Tau with no success for two years, i wanted a list that could pack a punch in CC but still be able to pick enemies off at range.
Here's my 1000pt list, please give as much constructive criticism as possible...

Unfortunately the scorpions are somewhat subpar in 6th. If you want an HtH squad I would suggest harlequins which are more durable and bit harder.

The avatar is generally only very good with a solid number of guardians to support. I would suggest the autarch as the second hq, or a couple of guardian squads to support the avatar.

However, harlequins cost 3 points more each, so i need to get rid of something for a half decent squad to fit. any suggestions?
Would howling banshees make a better HtH squad instead (considering points?)
So if i use the autarch, what should i give him? is the rest of the list solid enough as well?

Autarch with PW wings and fusion gun is 110 so 40 points off avatar. -123 from scorps. Ditching the exarch and weapon from the dires save 27 more points. I would then break them into 2 five man squads for more flexibility and another scoring unit. Move the wave seep to the fire dragons to increase their strike range.

That frees 190 points for the clowns.

7 Harley's with kisses and a shadow seer is 184. That leaves 6 points to tinker with.

2 tanks decent anti tank and solid anti infantry with a hard death star unit and 3 scoring units seem good at 1k

I've heard that harlies get shot ridiculously easily, but this might have changed with 6th ed, as i haven't read the rules yet...
