So...Hey! First post, but have been lurking on the site for years. My best friend got me into WH40k about 5 years ago and he would always send me here to see the pictures of what he painted and what people said about them. I tended to like the painting more than the gaming aspect, but we still had some pretty great games.

Now my kids are old enough to want to play and my best friend moved 10 hours away so I'm helping them to put together their first "armies". Yeah, quotes because 7 and 10 year olds don't quite get it...but my 7 year old is playing Orks and is now my automatic favorite for life My oldest boy can't decide between SM and Tau so I get to put together all of them and sit back and cringe as they paint them. They are having fun, though, so it's all good. Because my kids are getting into my stuff in the basement, I've started this back up and I have realized I have a metric ton of stuff I don't need so will be selling FW and other kits here in a bit.

Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to actually participating in the threads now instead of just lurking

Its great that you're getting your kids into the hobby. You totally have to post up pictures of their painting efforts.

I'll dig them out of the car in the morning and take a pic...they take them to YMCA camp and play with the camp counsellors The counsellors think I'm about the coolest old person they know
