Hi, I'm Joe, and as it said in the subject of this thread, I'm a noob. I'm a noob to every facet of the game; painting, modeling, and the actual game. I've been a fan of "the grim dark far future" for a long time, but never got around to introducing myself to the game. That was until my academic adviser told me there were scholarship dollars to be had for people who could model such. So here I am, I've been painting since June, and have accumulating a Declates Crusade force of meager size.

To be honest I've been visiting this place for a while, and finally got up the courage to sign up...

And you shouldn't be aprehensive about signing up, we don't bite. Much.

Anyways, welcome to Dakka

Congrats on manning up and joining the hobby.
If you need advice on anything, don't be afraid to ask around. The forum here is nice; they won't rip you to shreds for being new to the game (and ifyouneed Ork-related advice, feel free to message me).
We have plenty of forum categories to browse and everyone here is generally pretty relaxed about people just jumping in on their posts, so there's no need to be shy.
Welcome to DakkaDakka.
