I'm still new to the game, so I don't understand the command platoon. In the rules, it says that the Commander and 2iC are Warriors, and can be independent (break off and join other platoons). However, in my list I take an extra Firefly, added to the Command Squad. If I split off the Commander and 2iC, then where does this Firefly go? Is is all on its own too? Thanks - Mez

What list are you looking at?

Normally (I'm not a Brit player) the Firefly is added to one of the combat platoons, not the HQ plt.

If the Brit list lets you add support tank(s) to the HQ platoon, the 2iC is forced to become the platoon leader for those tanks.

1st Armoured Division - Polish - Pancerny (from the PDF). Here is the entry for the HQ. The Sherman Firefly is what I'm confused on....

Compulsory Szwadron Pancerny HQ - 1x CIC Sherman V, 1x 2iC Sherman V (140 pts)
- Additional Sherman - 1x Sherman Firefly (95 pts)

Thanks! Mez

When you add the Firefly, the 2iC becomes the platoon leader for it and it's a 2 tank platoon.

Handling additional HQ tanks is one of the worse ideas BF had for V3.

The rules for this are on pg260 btw. see HQ Support Platoon and Cannot Attach Tank Teams.
