Hello all and welcome to my first ever P&M blog! I'm Ben aka 4oursword, and this blog will focus on a homebrew chapter, the Purgators, and their human auxiliaries. So, let's get this show on the road! The Chapter Master, Halestan. Counts as a Wolf Lord with Chainfst, Storm SHield and TDA. His chainsword, made from two Assault Squad chainblades, the FW Terminator Upgrade pack's thunder hammer, a heavy flamer, the arm that held it, five minature crux terminatus, and a small piece of cyclone missile launcher. Brother Deios's gun, which deserves a picture in and of itself. The rest of Deios! Brother Nilhus, the heavy weapons guy! The WIP guys, who I forgot to name. Comments and stuff? Feel free!

The conversions are nice, a bit rough in places, but they should come out fine. What Codex will you be using?

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

Space Wolves, allied to Grey Knights for some henchman-based shenanigans, it's for background really. I'll post background if people like?

I also think metallic green looks nice. Maybe take a camera a touch back from them though to keep the pictures clearer. Most cameras with macros seem to have a nice sort of zone where you get the foreground nice and clear with some blurring happening in the background for quite a nice effect. Like in this picture you did, more or less perfect. Painting is a touch rough, but the conversions are nice. As for the background, it is your blog. Add it as part of an intro or something to set it all up. See if you can use it to pique more interest in this.

Righty-ho, background incoming! Sorry for the shoddy pics, the camera's new to me.
The Purgators are based on the desert world of Mordekai, a barren globe with two moons in an otherwise uninhabited solar system. Mordekai itself is a massive orb, with two mundane hive cities covering 40% of the world's surface, and a pair of additional temple-cities at each pole. These cities are no normal hives: Obsidia, the Black Bastion, and Aeternala, the City Of Sight.
Aeternala's founding was the result of a massive rise in the numbers of the lethal psycho-predators Psychneuin on Mordekai's surface, before Old Night. The greatest defence against their onslaught was psychic aptitude, and so were the psykers of Mordekai gathered into one place and kept isolated and trained. The xenos flocked to them and were slaughtered by powerful psychic blasts, and the chainspears of the world's original infantry forces. To this day, Aeternala sits on the North Pole of the world, which benefits from long days throughout the year due to the planet's odd orbit.
Obsidia is the other end of the spectrum. It was Mortarion, Primarch of the Death Guard's intense hatred of psykers that led to the founding of the Black Bastion. It is a bitter, polar tower, inhabited by Pariahs. Like the noble navigator houses of Terra, they are bred to be powerful repellents of the eldritch arts. Mortarion noticed that Aeternala's psykers were freely practicing their skills and using them in combat, and so brought pariahs from various worlds to Mordekai's surface. Ten thousand years later, the Nulls of the Black Bastion are the most powerful they've ever been. Indeed, a small garrison remains in Aeternala at all times, able to end any debate between psykers without a word. Clad in long black coats to ward off the deep chill, and wielding powerful guns with drum magazines to obliterate mundane foes, they drop into battle from Stormravens and Land Speeders as a surgical strike element.
As for the Purgators themselves, they are believed to be of Imperial Fists and Salamanders stock. Based on the moon Mordekai Primus, they are well-known for their compassion for non-combatants and widespread use of melta weapons. They will not use deploy their terminators via teleportation, using land raiders instead. Their terminators wield power weapons in place of the more common power fist, with mauls and swords being commonplace, and combi-meltas rather than the ubiquitous storm-bolter. Jump-packs are rare, and only seen in the eighth company, while devastators are more common than average. They are a divergent codex chapter, following the basic tenets while adjusting many other points. Led by the hulking Chapter Master Halestan (pronounced Hal-Es-Tan, not Hail-Stan ), this young chapter takes war to the stars in the Emperor's divine name.
TL,DR? SPace Marines with meltas, attached psykers and pariahs, lots of meltas.
Constructive criticism welcome!

No comments? It's worth pointing out that I am not good at painting, and this is the collection of my best possible stuff.
In fact, I didn't think I'd ever be able to create models I am actually proud of. But here we are.

It's sort of how the section seems to go. Just keep at it and eventually people flock in, perhaps stay for a bit.
