What do you think will happen when the Grey Knight Supreme Grand Master opens the Terminus Decree? Will it lay the imperium in ruins or will it save mankind?

It'll shut down the Golden Throne.
Perhaps allowing the Emperor to return,
Obviously it wouldn't be used just anytime because it would kill the Imperium prematurely.

Think like the ending of Gaunt's Ghosts: Honour Guard...all xenos and Chaos-touched Humans get killed, the Eye of Terror gets blown back, and malevolent warp entities get the shock of their life.
|
I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.
'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.' |

I say the Terminus Decree reads 'unplug the Throne'. Which, going by the possibly-no-longer-canon star child theory, would save mankind.

The Terminus Decree most likly states this. "The Imperium is burning and I stuck in a coma and can't get out. Do the following immediatly. 1. Travel to the throne room. 2. Kill me with your nemesis force weapon. 3. Hold the Imperium together through nine months of darkness until I am reborn. Signed The Big E. PS: This is not a pratical joke. My but has been asleep for so long I can't remember what my legs should feel like." Honestly, I hope its an empty box and Malcador forget where he put the message.

I think it might be a big red button that does to Terra what Malcador did to Titan. Or maybe the self destruct button for the Webway portal under the Golden Throne.
Maybe it releases this really naughty monster that's trapped under Titan? Turns off some Stasis vaults on Macragge and the Rock?
One theory I did hear once though was that it brought back one of the last Primarchs. There was no explanation as to how, or why, but it kept a lot of children happy for a very long afternoon of being one of the oldest, yet shortest gamers in the room.

I agree with above.
It kills all the space marines.
Just like the Emperor had previously done with the Thunder Warriors.

Numberless Necron Warrior

My guess is that it would either be the emporer commanding the grey knights to finish the necron device that was to tear the materium and immaterium apart so that they can no longer cross over into one another or that it has something to do with the story about the two inquisitors talking only hours after big E was throned about reviving him.

Ergo, Hope is evil, and you should stop having it, but you can't have despair because then Nurgle gets a free ride. You could be angry about this, but that'd just get Khorne's jollies off. And heck you can't even get your own jollies off without Slaanesh giggling and farting out some daemons. And if you manage to avoid all that, some genestealers might infiltrate your planet and bring a hive fleet crashing down on you any way. |
