I ordered the new 40k rulebook and psychic powers deck from Bitzbarn back on the 25th of July. I got an email back telling me that he'd have to charge me an extra 9 dollars for shipping, to which I replied okay. Since then, nothing has happened. I've emailed him a few times but I doubt he's even reading them. I'm planning to complain to the British equivalent of the US FTC and/or Australian ACCC (Paid by debit, not paypal). I'd like my money back, so I can give it to GW in a store in Australia who'll actually give me what I asked for in reply. I don't believe that it's out of stock- it was certainly IN stock when I made the order, and I'd expect that my order would at least get priority over people that ordered after I did. Is there any other way to get this guy to actually wake up and pay attention?

If this delay and ignorance from Bitzbarn is because the guy running it was hit by a truck or something and I'm not aware, please point that out instead, as I'd feel bad complaining to a government body if something bad had happened.

EDIT: He can't have vanished- he's put up all the stuff from Dark Vengeance on the site.

Bitzbarn has always been one of those places that's seemed sketchy to me for some reason. In retrospect, maybe there was good reason for that.

I've ordered some bitz from them before and it did take a LONG time to finally get my items. I can't tell you why or what the deal with that is, but I did, eventually, receive my stuff.

He seems to order at least some of the stuff from GW after he receives the orders and does not do too well with returning emails.

He told me a couple of times that he had replied to my emails, but I never rec'd the emails and they were not trapped in my gray mail, so who knows what is going on?

I'd just think that an invoice for 9 pounds for extra shipping shouldn't be something that would require more than a month to handle.

On an unrelated note, if he orders the stuff from GW -after- he receives the orders, why does he block potential sales by having an in-stock function on his site that automatically bars people from checking out an order when there isn't enough of any part of that order in stock to credit immediately? I'd understand it in certain high demand individual pieces like missile launchers, jump packs, etc, but in full sprues and books? Odd. Just odd.

Only some of the stuff is apparently ordered after orders are placed. Definitely odd. I never did receive the emails stating why the order (Necromunda gang box sets) was late. He said it had something to do with GW, but never explained exactly what it had to do with GW in the emails I actually received. So its still a mystery...

I've been using bitzbarn for my the bulk of my bits needs for a bit now and have never had any problems. Not many places can match the selection and they have reasonable prices.

I've done business with him multiple times. I've always got what I ordered. Sometimes within days, sometimes weeks.
I've received replies when I write, sometimes quickly. I really like helping out the small business, and I think variety helps
the community overall. For example I can completely ignore the War Store(and do), yet still find what I need even cheaper
usually. That said, I've felt for awhile that BB needs to step up the customer service. I for one can wait for orders extra time,
and don't mind doing it. Just communicate. Let people know what's happening, don't leave them swinging in the wind. Even
if the news is no news, you still letting the person that took time to do business with you that you appreciate them enough to
send a 30 sec email.

They are one of the places I order from for bits that I can use, but that I don't need right now. Hey are slow but have a good price and selection.

If I need bits fast I pay the Warstore price and have them 3 days later.

I have ordered stuff from these guys with no major problems. However, the email I sent to them though reguarding a return/exchange was ignored.

Unfortunately, as an Aussie I don't have the option of The War Store for 40k, or that's exactly what I'd be using myself. :/
