Folk metal has a ton of diversity, share what you've heard. I've seen bands taking cues from Nordic, Celtic, and even Mongolian tradition, I'm curious what you've found.

Nordic folk metal has a hundred bands, here's just a few: Korpiklaani, Heidivolk, Bathory, Falkenbach, Amon Amarth?, Finntroll

Celtic also has some: Eluveitie, Primordial

Mongolian even: Tengger Cavalry

Four scholars at Oxford were making their way down the street, and happened to see a group of ladies of the evening. “What’s this?” said the first. “A jam of tarts?” “Nay,” said the second, “an essay of Trollope’s.” “Rather, a flourish of strumpets,” advanced the third. “No, gentlemen,” concluded the last. “Here we have an anthology of pros.”

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

I'll throw in Darkest Era for another Celtic folk metal band.

Pretty good, I saw them when they were supporting Alestorm earlier this year and got their album.

I think there's some kinda conspiracy, where the governments of scandinavia put chemicals in the drinking water to make it's people produce the best metal in the whole world.

Probably lead. Because it's heavy metal.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Man, that is a nice pair of hats.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
