I remember in the book Xenos that Eisenhorn mentioned God who was the god to the ancient population of a planet that they were on? Does anyone know it was supposed to be?

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.

God is the logos. And with the logos.

Seriously though, all monotheistic gods are pretty much the same right? He may even have been referring to terra, and therefore the Abrahamic god. Been a while since I read the Eisenhorn books.

Every planet pretty much has its own religion, however generally they end up shoehorning in the Emperor to replace the god(s) in that particular religion.

Not all of them exist really, some of them are just a belief at most as it takes a decent amount of energy to create a warp entity which usually takes on the role as a god. However I suppose some lesser Daemons would be able to keep up an act like that for a bit.

In short I'm not quite sure.
