I couldn't find a thread for this, so I'm going to ask it here. Which of the three mini-campaigns is canon? Imperial, Allied, or Soviet. Personally, I see the Imperial ending as canon, but not by itself. First, the Soviet Campaign (the Soviets regains their independence), then the Allied Campaign (the Allied Occupation Forces are exhausted and the warlords are neutralized), then, the Yuriko Campaign (Yuriko frees Prince Tatsu), and then the Imperial Campaign (Soviet forces in the Far East destroyed, Allies forced to retreat from Imperial territory).

As for Kenji appearing in the Empire campaign, the Allies probably freed him to lead the Imperial defense against Soviet expansion, and there never was any indication Giles even knew Prince Tatsu was in overall command during the Imperial Campaign, just the player character.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.'

I have not played Uprising but USUALLY the "Good" guys are the canon ending

GDI for the C&C games
Allies for the Red Alert games

C&C 3 and Generals were both special in which all campaigns were canon.

Generally I enjoy playing the Soviet campaigns every now and then but I usually like following the Allied forces

There's the word - USUALLY. And while the Allies are 'good' in RA 1 and 2, in 3, they're quite grey, especially with what we see in the Soviet and Yuriko Campaigns. Not so much in the Imperial Campaign, seeing as (assuming my hypothesis is correct) their forces in the Empire are exhausted, hence why they couldn't assist the Imperials against the Soviets.

Grey? I did not see that at ALL in RA3.

Ya key word is usually because thats what it has always been in the past, they have yet to make a game where a canon ending was anything but the "good" guys.

Maybe you met Uprising in they are Grey. Again I cant comment on that because I wasnt interested in that game. Usually (with the exception of Yuri's Revenge Soviet campaign) they design these campaign so that they are ALL plausable.

Its entirelly possible all the campaigns happen, I havnt even seen them so I wouldnt know.

If a canon ending HAD to be picked the Allies would most likely be the ending they go with.

Yup. They are grey in Uprising.
Spoiler:
Soviet Campaign - the Allied-sponsored Futuretech Corporation was holding time travel experiments to create a 'capitalist paradise' in the former USSR.

Yuriko Campaign - once again, the Allied-sponsored Futuretech Corporation implies the Allied Forces are little more than glorified mercenaries.

I certainly hope so...it would make a lot more sense than any of the individual mini-campaigns would on their own.

So I youtubed the 3 cutscenes and I can say that the Allied and Empire campaigns contradict each other completely.

Japan succeeds in reuniting and driving off the Allied Occupation force with the Emperor's son back in charge, Japan will become a world power again and probably reinvade the Allies/Soviets in the far future

Soviets form peace with the Allies after exposing Future Techs plans. In response to the Soviets help, the Allies pull out of the Soviet Union as a show of good will. This will allow the Soviets to rebuild in peace how they want. Who knows how long the peace will last or not.

Allies destroy the Empire's army completely and have achieved peace in the lands here. Im sure Japan would eventually turn similar to the Japan of now a days.

Its possible that the Soviet and Allied campaign can both occur though i would be slightly surprised. Japan's is like in a weird alternate reality though, Russia should NOT be capable of these actions under an Allied Occupation. Unless this follows a Soviet Campaign so it could be possible after all.

Ultimately this leaves the Allies and the Empire contradicting each other.

Also from what I saw in the videos (not I hadnt played them so I could still be missing things) it sounds like it was Futuretech that was fething up, the actual Allied forces were not doing anything wrong. Makes them slightly greyish though ya. Still leagues better than the other two factions though.

The Allied forces weren't Futuretech btw, Futuretech was a standalone faction- based upon an evil 1 world order type of corporation. It's the very reason why the Commander Challenges could use any of the other factions at will.

Soviet first, then Allies, then Yuriko, and then Empire. In the Soviet ending, Allies pull out of USSR. In the Allied ending, their forces in Japan are exhausted fighting and capturing Prince Tatsu and the warlords. In the Yuriko ending, its implied her next move was to free Prince Tatsu. Then the Empire ending - Kenji was released in exchange for his assistance against the Soviets (the Allies are out of Russia, and their own forces in Japan), and as I said, there never was any indication Giles knew Prince Tatsu was in overall command - again.
