Hello Everyone!

This is the first time I've started a thread on any painting/modelling site (So I hope it goes well!)

Anyway, these are my rusty Necrons with over the top OSL. They were painted over two weekends totalling around 10 hours of work.
As you can probably tell they're mostly airbrushed with very little being handpainted.

The Army is mostly finished except for a few bases and a Doomsday ark. So I thought I'd go through step by step how I paint it.
I'm planning to build, undercoat, paint, base and finish the model in a couple of days and hopefully you'll enjoy it.

I have posted this thread on a couple of sites so more people can see it. I get lots of my inspiration from sites like these and if someone gets inspired by my work then that would be awesome!!!

Enough rambling, here's the Rusty Necrons!!!

Thanks for all the positive replies guys.
The Ark is now built and ready for undercoat.
I'll be back once the base coat has been applied.

Here's a few more pics to show the osl. The camera doesn't really capture the subtle colour changes in the greens, but when i get it all finished i'll post proper pics.

Thought I'd come back with an update on how my Ark is going.

I've started with a basecoat of Tamiya Hull Red applied with an airbrush.
I then sponged on layers of GW Dark Flesh and Bestial Brown.

The latest stage was to add pigments. For this I used Vallejo Burnt Sienna, DArk Red Ochre and MIG Light Rust.
Finally I airbrushed MIG pigment fixer to the whole model.
Hope you like them and if you have any questions fire away!

Hi Again,

Just thought I'd post the final stage of how I paint my glowing Necrons.
My first stage is to fill in all the parts where the glow is voming from in VGC Jade Green.
Next I airbrush the surrounding areas with more VGC Jade Green mixed with airbrush medium.
After that I airbrush VGC Foul Green to brighten up the glowing area.
Finally I add some VMC Ivory to the mix and airbrush it on to the brightest parts.

Ok final post now.

This the Army now it's complete and finished.

I know the glow is excessive but that's how I wanted it, maximum contrast. In person the look a lot better (but I'm sure everyone says that!)
Anyway I hope you like them!!!!

PS, sorry for the slight red hue, my camera has been modified for astronomy so it lets a little more red through.

You're obviously well-practiced with airbrushing - very impressive!
