After reading through the SW codex again I discovered that when a wolf lord takes on the role of great wolf they change their company symbol.

Now the small number of guys I have painted all have Logans old company symbol, is Logan still the comander of this company? Or is it an unnamed lord?

I assume they're still under Logan's command, and when he is not outside Fenris, he delegates the command to his Wolf Guard. Still, I also assume they've repainted the shoulder pads with the Great Company's badge, since it should be an honour.

All of the 12 current Wolf Lords names are published in the current dex.
As it stands the Company of the Great wolf is just the Wolf Lord who became Wolf King's company + the armoury, scouts, rune and wolf priests.

So yes, dudes with the Old shoulder pads would still be part of Logans company.
But Dark is right, they would have updated their pads to demonstrate their new status.

If you want to be 100% super detail oriented...then yes
but it can be justified as saying that they were on a long campaign and just returned, or they pulled some old stuff up to replace some damaged armour...etc

Or you can play them as the GC before Logan became Chapter Master.

You can always say that for personal issues regarding to battle succeses, some of your wolves kept the Company badge.
