I just recently started studying at Knox in Galesburg. Is that close? I've been looking for players in my region as well, without much success.

resurrecting this instead of starting a new one. I'm going to be moving down to Carbondale for school come the fall semester this year. focus on WHFB, but I play 40k too. would be nice to find a group down there so I can continue the hobby.

Currently play: VC(6000), WE(2000), 40k daemons(2000), Malifaux (Neverborn aficionado! ) |

I game at Castle Perilous. we have a miniatures game club that holds games on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The store has a large collection of terrain and as far as I am concerned a great group of guys playing there. If you want to come by and check us out your more than welcome to do so. You can ask the staff to point out the 40K players but if your up for it we also play WFB, Heroclix, Warmachine, and a few others.
BTW the name of the club is The Lords of Egypt if you want to look them up on facebook.

Hello. I'm one of the club officers. We indeed meet every Wednesday and Thursday. We're expecting to start up a Fantasy campaign in August, actually, so it'd be great to have you in the mix!
The website for our store is http://www.castleperilous.com/.
If you're at the store, you'll want to ask for James Cox or Jim Stearns, who are the club officers who handle Games Workshop events. There is also a sizeable Heroclix community which is ALSO part of the Lords of Egypt, and they also meet on Thursday, so don't be confused if you see someone in a club shirt who doesn't know anything about the game you play!
Typically we do free play on both days. Hope to see you there!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Sorry, had to run off and tend to a crying baby before I could leave the rest of the information.
Typically, people start filtering in between 3-5 on game days. One of the two Jims will probably be there a little on the early side. The store closes around 9, and the owner is usually kind enough to give us a warning when closing time is coming up.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to email us at lordsofegyptmail[at]gmail[dot]com.
Again, can't wait to see you around the store!

Castle is a lot of fun, what games or armies do you play? We are gaining a WHFB scene, and have a good sized WH40K scene.
